Hide other players structures but stay online
Hi. I really like the game but I hate to see others players structures it's like that someone play to the game before me. Is it possible to stay online for the other features but just disable all player's structure, not only brige, rope and ladder too because I can't delete them on the map.

I'm not sure which online features you are referencing that you want to keep but from my understanding the only option you have is to log out entirely. Under Game Settings you can turn off Login Upon Launch and you will constantly be in offline mode which does not have online player structures, only the structures from the in-game characters.

I do agree that sometimes things will seem too easy because the tools needed to traverse an area are already there before you ever arrive. However these are usually only on the known paths for me. As in, if you open your map you can see the paths most are taking and if you do not follow that path there's usually an almost immediate drop off of player built structures. While it is usually a roundabout way of approaching an area, laying down infrastructure to for a new trail is directly recognized and rewarded. So if you, like me, enjoy the challenge of creating your own path that may be something you're interested in and you could stay online and keep the features you don't want to lose as well as benefit from some of the chiral net stuff that I'm not sure a person would be able to do on their own unless they dramatically reduce the amount of supplies needed when you're in offline mode.

what the purpose of going online if you dont want to see other player structure and path ?

I will probably play without being online...Don't want the path all laid out in front of me.

drop off unfinished deliveries, sharing locker. Other features are great but the fact when you unlock an area there is no pleasure that you saw that other players built for you the path

No cherry picking. Take it all or leave it all.

You should play it and see how you feel. It's actually intentional that you see and use these things and for you to provide the same help to others you will never see or meet. It's an entire subplot of the game about being connected, but apart (in fact it's entire underlying theme). The whole like system, cargo sharing and structure building loop is both a game mechanic and commentary on how we are as a modern society... if you just want a hard solo game then I feel you may be missing the point about helping others (much as IN the game you do by struggling to bring them their packages).

Having said that the point of the game is to have the experience you want so it's certainly viable to play offline and just struggle against the game (which really isn't *that* hard) if that is the experience you want to have. I would argue it would be much better in that case to just play MGS V which is tailored to a more difficult single player experience.

To do specifically what the OP wants is nearly impossible though you can disassemble larger structures you come across and on bridges, generators and the like it will only take them out of your game world (alas for signs, ladders and rope mounts you are removing them for everyone)
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Yeah I was thinking if enabling this option is what I was looking for.... Hmmm I can make a copy of my save folder and I will see if it's works.

Can you disable individual choices like only signs not bridges? I think the sign pole feature is trash, it gets spammed a lot. A good function for them would be if someone were to build a bridge but needed materials to complete/upgrade and left a sign.

I've started the chapter 3. I disabled all constructions from other players. But I notice that there is two highway path that happear on my map. It seems that players can complete my highway even when not sharing constructions... I don't know how many time he can take to build the highway but it seems that you have to play completely offline to avoid this.

I read this : It seems like other than the first couple of sections of road, the game only gives you a fraction of other people's road donations, forcing you to complete them yourself.

Someone can confirm this ?

Correct, I have plenty of unfinished structures and especially roads. If there was support from everyone all of these things would be done.

Fixing them yourself just cost a bit too much in the end.

Yeah, gotta say, looking at a mountain and thinking how do i traverse it and finding someone has ever so kindly built you a path around it defeats the purpose..

I get that in a way we are rebuilding america.. but if anyone is going to rebuild it, it's me lol :P i want ppl to complain about my 'walk throughs' lol

at what point does the game create another 'world' ? i want to be there.

is it just a matter of time until a new player logs in and finds a bridge to the credits? :P
