Photo mode

Anyone figured out the button for taking a photo? I havent been able to take photos because there is no "Snap photo" button.

PS. Please dont mention print screen, because i have to paste it in to Paint every time. Also I have 2 screens, and it snaps both screens, that i must edit in Paint.

F12 for steam photos, f8 for in game photo mode

Simplest is to use Steam overlay's screenshot function. Default key is F12.
Just enable it so that Steam saves the images as .png, instead of .jpg.

I'm struggling to find the key for acutally making a photo too.
For some reason, I can't get the f12-steam photo thing to work. Thats an issue I have since I got a new PC.
So, f8 opens the photo mode... but which key do one need to press to MAKE the photo?

F12 is the default. You could try binding it to another key. Or, if Steam overlay doesn't work, for some reason, then you could use an alternative, like Shadowplay if you have an Nvidia card.

That's not really an answer to that simple question, sadly.
So is it bugged and players need to find a third party method to make the photo? Or is this photo mode just to make a fancy scene and it is intended to make the photo via steam?

Apart from that, binding the steam photo mode to a different key won't work either, I tried that many times.

For me the key in steam overlay was not binded, so i went in to Steam settings > In-Game > Screenshot Shortcut and Folder. Then binded hotkey on keyboard, and selected the folder for screenshots. After that pressing keyboard key always made screenshot. I binded mine to numpad 8 because F keys may be used for something by other games

Yeah it's binded on my steam, also a folder is selected. I dunno why it won't work. I also tried other keys than the F keys.
It's comprehensible if it's intended to make the photos via steam (to share them with others), not via the game itself, i think, but at least that could be mentioned somewhere. -.-

I DID answer your question. F12 ''makes'' the image by default with Steam overlay. I was just making a suggestion in-case you have Shadowplay and can't get Steam overlay to work. Don't know why it doesn't work for you, though. Never had that issue.

You can't upload the image anywhere via the game, by the way. So, yes, you need to utilize either Steam's own screenshot function, or whatever alternative you wish to use.
It's the same on PS4.

Is Steam overlay generally enabled? i personally havent tested doing photo without Steam overlay enabled. But just in case. I know i often disable steam overlay because it conflicts with some games.

anyone knows how to find these photos in Steam? I pressed F12 and the game said every time that the photo is saved. Searched everywhere, can't find them. They're definitely not in Screenshots

Click 'View' in the upper left corner of Steam and you'll find the Screenshots tab. You need to publish them from there, in order for them to appear in your Screenshots section on your profile.
