5 STARING STUFF MAKES THE GAME A BIT EASIER.... BUT WAAY LONGER
Story only: 28-32 hours
Story + Some Side Content (Average Player): 55-65 hours
Completionist: 80-100 hours
Most people are going to fit in the middle category. If you’re looking to platinum the game, most of your time is going to go into five-starring everyone’s connection level.
I just got back into the game after a two year break and have lost track of my chapter progress. I'm busy trying to relearn the commands...
you can try loading up a new save and play through the tutorial again and pick up the controls then reload the old save file, or just make a brand new run if you're not that far into the story lol
yea im HYPED for the THIRD...
so im guessing that no matter what you put into it, in the end it dont really matter,
The chances of a bunch of people producing a complete road is pretty slim since the only time a segment of road can appear is when a player first builds it and since it takes a bit of material to build just one segment, it will be awhile between two segments produced by one player. So...each of us ends up with bits of road here and there and the only way to get a complete road is to do it yourself.
Fortunately, once a segment is built, it only takes one material to keep it maintained so it is possible for one player to create an entire road and keep it up.
Also, if you only did the main story mission, it will not take long (around 35 - 40 hours tops) but prepared to face some difficulty along the way because some gear are upgradable if you have higher connection level with the preppers.
I do hope that you can give this gem another chance and experience it in its full glory and Keep On Keeping On!
I don't remember ever getting to a Lake but it's been a while since I bought it the week it came out.
I remember that when I gave up I was traveling up some river. I was never really able to balance my load or prevent it from degrading. And I was completely unable to avoid those creatures that appeared when the rain came. They would kill me every time.
Which would not be that bad if I improved at all but I did not. I died just as fast the 100th time as I did the first. I tried reading threads here about it and doing what people suggested.
made no difference. In decades of playing computer games. I cannot ever remember having such a frustrating experience.
Combine that with the bizarre story line (OK, so I am carrying a dead baby...?) and the fact that the game apparently want to make you rely on an online "community" people leave for you. Well it was just too many strikes. I like a game that's just me. Skyrim I loved. ES Online I hated.
A shame though because visually it was amazing.
Be mindful of your stamina (blue bar) it is a limited resource when you're doing strenuous activities such as river crossing, a lighter blue bar will appear on top of it and start depleting, if it starts to glow yellow, stand still and maintain your grips to slowly recover.
Also, try using common real-world knowledge and treat sam less like a video-game character but how would you cross the terrain if that were you.
There are controller and keyboard controlling schemes in place, use whichever you're used to.
I'm letting the road sections go to see if any other players will help out on maintaining them. So far the evidence is that I will have to keep them up myself. Thank goodness the map shows the triangles that indicate significant deterioration so that I can zip to any location before I lose a segment and toss in some metal.
BTW - I found a bridge near the Junkman with 1,191,000 likes, built by a player who hasn't played the game since 2020.
I'm going back in to 100% it.
