Sam is unboxing weapon with a freakin cool animation. I NEVER had anything like this when equipping weapons from my back - they just spawn on my shoulder immediately. How to get this / enable this?

Have you tried carrying the weapon as cargo?

This happened to me in this version when it's the very first time you equip it from the quick select, from your back. Maybe it has to do with the condition too.

Try fabricating it, placing it on your back, and equipping repair spray on the tool slot. Then when on the road, quick select the weapon via the equipment selection, which will cause Sam to take it from his back, eject the container like that and hold it.
