Tell yoy what. Go over a foot tall rock in your car at 30 miles per hour and let me know how real physics is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ too.
Im willing to admit its wonky and needs tuning. Its not the worst thing ever.
Even on the road some vehicles can strangely "strafe", I don't know how to word it but it's like how MGS5:TPP vehicles are also weird to drive.
30 miles per hour on all-terrain vehicle? Piece of cake. I've had excursion on BTR-80 in Chernobyl a couple of years ago, we've moved through natural terrain and it was quite fluid (for roadless ride) and we've moved at very least at 60 km/h and stopped only to visit interesting places.
For a game, where whole point of them game to transport stuff it is exactly worst thing. It's like playing zombie shooter game where your weapon misses zombies most of the times, even if you aim properly.
MGS5:TPP wasn't about goods transportation. It was about capturing new recruits and dealing with Snake's mental trauma, so such behavior for vehicles in MGS5:TPP was forgiving.
And especially so in near future with active suspensions and electric drives.
OMG how many times I sweared at this craziness.
Though, if the physics was real, you'd be always falling when scaling steep slopes, in a vehicle or without.
Also, why antigrav carrier stops when over water? Doesn't even retain slow existing speed. Can't you paddle with your leg? Wouldn't wind make you move anyway?
Where's air resistance when driving bike? You'd be blown away instantly at that speed.
Neither is described as all terrain either. In fact the truck description flat out says only drive on flat level services.
We weren't cutting through trees on it, though. Thus I'm not sure if it can be used for it.
BTR-80 that was created decades ago. At least during excursion it rode over 1 foot tall rocks as if they haven't existed in the first place.
The very fact that game about deep future justifies lack of proper vehicle physics that their vehicle can ride only on "flat" surfaces, when BTR-80 technology was likely refined over 9000 times into something ever more perfect, is very troubling and disappointing.
A BTR-80 is not even remotely close to an average vehicle. Its huge, its tires are huge and it's not electric. I literally said no thanks or monster trucks and your example is a striker. Dishonest much?
A game is about future, where anti-gravity technology exists. There is NO justified reason, why in-game corporation Bridges can't design superior BTR-9000 on electric engine. So stop trying to find justified reason for screwed up vehicle physics in Death Stranding. It won't be accepted and justified by community either, when DS release will hit Steam.
Im going for the tar and feathers, ♥♥♥♥ this
This whole complaint is an assault. The game is about travelling over difficult terrain and you want something that makes doing so trivial. Yeah just enter God mode then.
Let's not forget that groupings of people is a dangerous thing in this game when a dead body can cause a nuclear bomb sized crater. There is no purpose to a TROOP CARRIER in this universe. Or military grade hardware at all for that matter.
Again. Need to travel over difficult terrain doesn't justify screwed up vehicle physics.
It still doesn't justify screwed up vehicle physics.
