Unfortunately, MULE trucks have severely limited capacity, only 6 XL cargo spaces, with a caveat that on MULE truck, XL cargo takes 4 M slots instead of usual 3.
Later in the game you will get Bridges truck which has 28 XL spaces (there's something funky with odd numbers of XL cargo containers, but I can't figure it out, I swear I saw those take 4 or 6 M spaces, but I just tried testing and those took usual 3 M spaces, I don't understand what's going on with those).
You need bridges truck to do deliveries like 28 XL or 42 L cargo containers.
Otherwise you have to do more than one trip on foot.
You start seeing heavier loads in-game when you see MULE Trucks there abouts - keep on keeping on and you'll get access to Bridges Trucks and various levels beyond.
First time I saw an oversize load was to grab materials from the docks to Lake Knot City - did 2-3 rounds on the trike for it.
Trick is to store the cargo you DON'T want to turn in - into your private locker - when ready to turn in - just dump it on the floor - GENTLY lol - should be fine.
any more than one run and your rating will tank as well
if you want to legend/of legends/of legends it, you absolutely need to have unlocked the bridges truck, and having at least the first three road segments and a bridge across the vog canyon constructed will make it a fairly simple proposition
given that you'll have to be boosting almost the whole way, using an upgraded long-range truck will make your life easier, but having a generator or two near the engineer and the film director will suffice, bearing in mind you can only really afford to charge once knowing how short the premium window is
Thinking a little more about it and expanding the network more and more, I am realising now that the maps are all interconnected together. Didn't give this impression before the ship because there seem to be a disconnect between the first area and the second one... But now I'm thinking that building all the roads and going to the east instead of trying to try thru the mountain to the north would make this delivery way faster. Considering that using a bike my average delivery time by the end of the first map was around 4 mins (sometimes under 2 mins) then I'm pretty sure that if you plan ahead and build yourself a good bike route then you should easily be able to make three trips before the time limit is done.
Edit: oh, and by the way... Since you get a relation boost with the destination instead than with the man giving the order out... I'm not really sure why I'd ever need to do this delivery. I'm almost already full stars with the destination and I can easily pad that with other orders.
