Your save games are located at:

C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\KojimaProductions\DeathStranding

The files are saved in the cloud of steam. Is normally a standard procedure. So you just have to install the game at home and log in...and you can go further with your story :)

I haven't done a transfer to a different PC but worked fine using copy-paste from a backup after a crash.

I'm with John on this one, provided you're using the same account, it should be a matter of install and go. I think what's not possible is a situation where you ask someone to send you a save file.

This actually shouldn't be necessary, so long as Steam cloud is enabled (it is by default) then your save files should be syncing and should be pulling down no matter what PC you log into and play Death Stranding on (so long as it is the same Steam account).

If your using steam cloud - should be uploading and downloading automatically.
Just make sure you give it a chance to do the said tasks.

If anything its damned annoying as some games won't let you "nuke" progress without steam shoving its "cloud" in your face.
