Death Stranding Director's Cut: What is it about?

Any infos? Very excited. Will we get a free PC upgrade?

Sony said "exclusive" for a long time, but eventually many of their games came to PC and they want to bring even more. Like, Horizon Zero Dawn with all DLCs that came to GoG, too.

Hopefully gets PC update I don't see why not, unless it is legit just the PC version for PS5.
Glad I held off on my 2nd play through, hopefully something new will be added.

if director's cut is a timed exclusive FOR THE SECOND TIME thanks to Sony i'll be pissed. Guess i'll hold off playing for another year.

Director's Cut is about a director who was in full control of the vanilla game just wants to add a couple of things, but doesn't want to slap it on as DLC. Rather just make some tiny upgrades, small graphical upgrades that you won't notice, make it as PS5 remaster + PC ready, slap the 'Director's Cut' name onto it = more $$$.

Director's Cut... what a joke.

As I read in the twitter, he said that the Director's Cut will included some graphic improvements, new stealth mechanics , new quest, more cut content like the guy already mentioned in this comment section, a lot of cool stuff has been cut off due to Sony doesn't allow it.

What are you on about? Sony gave Kojima carte blanche to do anything he wanted for a (timed) PS4 exclusive. Kojima had full control of his game and there's no need for a 'Director's Cut'. It's just dlc stacked onto the vanilla game, and not in the slighest worthy of a 'remaster' (because you know the're gonna push it onto the PS5).

It is not a remaster, it is a directors cut.

Maybe Kojima wasn't completely satisfied with the end result. Maybe he found that too many people were complaining about some aspects of the game and he ultimately found it to be enough of a reason to tweak the game for the better. He can be a bit of a perfectionist.

He always does this anyhow. Just look at how many MGS versions there are and what the changes and addons to those games were and you'll probably know what you can kinda expect from a Director's Cut for Death Stranding, which will likely not be simply called a Director's Cut either but something more in the line of Subsistence .
