Certainly during the Clifford Unger world war battles. I don't think it matters if you kill mules either, despite the plot.

You do need to run cleanup afterwards. Leaving corpses around will eventually cause major problems.

That's cool. To be honest, I only ever fought mules with my fist. Oh and I ran into a few at high speed with my truck, which was fun. I don't recall that causing an issue. Maybe they survived?

You'll also get to fabricate non-lethal variants of lethal weapons, but they let you use the lethal ones for challenge, or if you actually want to kill guys.
The only reason you'd actually want to use the lethal weapons, is to shoot an enemy for hit stun, but still running the risk of killing them.
For example, if a terrorist is about to see you and catch you, it might be more beneficial to shoot him in the chest, approach him as he is recoiling from getting shot, and take him out non-lethally.
The Cliff fights give you a good opportunity to understand when enemies get stunned from getting shot, while not having the risk of actually killing someone.
It's just another way to play the game.

It gets mentioned that covering a BT in blood then shooting it with lethal weapons does a lot of damage. I didn't find it very useful but it is another option.

Will try that anyway.

Blessed are the Save Options.

Lethal weapon will give more damage to BT boss fight more than the Anti-BT weapon.

How?

First you need to use a grenade to make the BT boss wounded, then you use the Lethal weapon shoot right in the wound of the BT boss, you will notice that the damage the lethal gun deal will be a lot more than any Anti-BT weapon. Of course only works if you shoot right in the wound which causes by Anti-BT grenade, otherwise the lethal rounds are useless.

If mules or terrorists are killed instead of knocked out, they will take longer time to respawn, but you need to clear up corpses.

And normal lethal round can be used in BT boss fight side with hematic grenades, to reduce your blood consumption.

Lethal Rounds are kind of useless. Why? Because Non-Lethal Rounds / Rubber Bullets are able to damage to BTs after they are hit by Hematic Grenades as well.

Lethal rounds give bonus damage against BT, making faster when you need to deal with BT gazers. Plus more spare ammo.

So you mean lethal weapon has more ammo space than non-lethal weapon? I didn't notice this.

____________
For BTs:
Rubber (Hematic) Bullet < Lethal Bullet (you need to shoot right in the location cover with blood to deal damage) < Chiral Bullet (HG Shotgun with Chiral Bullet is the best in all gun except Rocket Launcher/Explosive weapon)

Rocket Launcher is a whole different story.

You're right, I just tested it myself on Giant BTs with Assault Rifle (LV .1) and Non-Lethal Assault Rifle (LV. 1) with their ammo counts being 30/150 and 30/90 respectively. Lethal rounds do indeed deal more damage to them. Definitely worth using the former to battle against BTs.

If you decide to kill some Mules, use a truck to transport corpses (it can hold upto 15). Also, if you can't afford to run all the way to the incinerator, get to the north or south tar lakes, just park the truck's rear wheels a bit into the tar (a couple inches deep is safe), then run closely behind it and press your inventory button. This way you can unload all the corpses into the tar in one go and be done with it!
