Does anyone know the solution to controller ghost inputs? ( Please help)

I've put 30 hours into the game. Yet to have complete the story, mostly have only done package delivering. My opinion so far? I absolutely adore the game. I would say it is absolutely one of my favorites of all time, for it's uniqueness with story and gameplay. But although being one of my favorite games, it has one gripe that is pushing me to quit playing the game and absolutely just forget finishing the game.

What is this gripe? The controls and performance. About 10 hours or more in, I experienced for the first time Sam doing inputs and controller presses I were not doing myself. I believed it just to be a small bug at first glance but it gradually scalled towards madness. My bike kept boosting unboosting. I was in mule territory and got out the bike to investigate what was going on with the controller. Now I got off the bike, back on(Back on unwillingly) then off, I walked off, and then Sam continuously attempted to punch the air. I was paranoid now(even more than I was before) as when trying to investigate, I was in mule territory and they were closing in. I tried to put cargo in a postbox quickly but Sam kept punching the air. I paused the game uplugged the controller and replugged it. The problem was resolved for now for me to resolve the problem, get to safety, and look up the issue.

I resd there is a problem which involves double input and GHOST inputs(Character actions done without the player saying to do so). There was only the proposed solution of unpluggin and replugging the controller(Which I have done then and now)

I've put 20 more hours in the game mostly having few more instances with the problem, slowly instigating into being more dire and continous.

As of now, today, I have tried to play and no matter what I do, the game relentlessly continues to spams buttons I don't press, and now does up to triple and quadra inputs of what was originally only 2(One by me, The other the game)

The game is in a state of unplayability for me, and it has led me here to ask for help.

If anyone knows a solution or maybe could spitball some possible theories on how I may fix this I would really appreciate it. I want to finish the game, but as of now It is just impossible for me. Thanks!

Clarifications:
- I purchased the game on epic store, meaning there is no steam input
- The game automatically configured for my controller.
- I'm playing on max graphics settings and have yet to configure them

If you go into Device Manager, under Human Interface Devices, does the entry "HID-compliant game controller" or "HID-compliant controller" show?

If so, you might possibly have another device, or a program that has some sort of capacity to emulate a controller, which is conflicting. eg. some mice have those little "joysticks or lots of buttons", some keyboards fake controller inputs.

It's a bug since the game was released in Steam.

Choose the game in library > Properties > Controller > Override for Death Stranding > Enable Steam Input
