Best way of farming ceramics?
As the title suggests, I'm building roads, and need lots and lots of ceramics, I'm almost done building all the way up to mountain knot city, but by my calculations I think I'll need just a bit over 10k ceramics.

I already know of the mule camp that's not too far from the distribution center south of lake knot city, and all the shelters have 0 ceramcis to requisition.

Any other ways?

Keep on keeping on porters!

Are you upgrading the connection levels (stars) of your preppers via completing standard orders? There always should be enough resources in safe houses and distro centers \ cities collectively.

if you're playing onlime, share lockers often contain a lot of resources OR things that you can recycle.

Also, there are always specific places where the resources spawn after a while, the 320 ceramics near the Distro Center South of Lake Knot, for example (i think it takes resting in private rooms to reset them).

Tbh never had any problems with finding resources, I even had to deliberately throw them away or donate them to share lockers because of how ridiculously easy it is to get them. And who needs roads anyway? :D

I have 5 stars with every prepper and shelter except for the far away ones in the mountain region, and I always take whatever resources I can find in private and share lockers, I'm pretty much starved of ceramics

Go around to each of the shelters/distribution centers/knots you have access to and complete all the standard orders that involve transporting ceramics. Either complete them yourself or send bots out to do it for you.

Whenever you complete an order that involves transporting materials some of them are added to the the destinations stores that you can claim.

I was hoping of getting around that...but I guess it's the only way, haven't thought about sending bots though, thanks!

Something to keep in mind, start collecting chemicals and special alloys now so you don't run into the same issue when if you want to build a zipline network later on.

This is some of the best advice. Collect early, collect often.

Veteran Porter should reward you with Lightweight Ceramics.

Order in the lake knot city, get ceramics from the docs. Easily done with power skeleton running there and back three times, with a tricycle two times, or quick run with a truck. Provides about 5K for a 3-5 minute mission. The cooldown of missions is about 40-60 minutes.
Other than that, two mule camps between the LKC and engineer, engineer and craftsman tend to have quite a lot of metals and ceramics in my experience, aside from other stuff. Also check shared locker, sometimes people drop resources there.

If you're low on some resources, always check for the delivery orders with the resource delivery you need, and you will need a lot of chemicals for a zipline network.

i built 4 or 5 road sections, mainly by looting mule camps.

gonna add you to my friend list so i don't have to do that ♥♥♥♥ myself
Cokomantis Sep 12, 2021 @ 2:00pm
yeah no, it doesn't work like that.

if I add him to friends don't I see his stuff in game

You don't. The things that show up in your game are randomly selected from all pc players. Your friends list does not affect it.

As far as I know, you can make a strand contact with a player, that way, his stuff is prioritized.

Anyway, I'm almost done with the road, last 2 sections of mountain knot city.
Ty all for the suggestions!

I just completed a delivery of ceramics and metal to lake knot city, it also showed me the number of materials I can claim....and when I selected the claiming menu, everything is at 0...wtf?
