Is ziplining everywhere viable?
Is this viable if i setup a ziplining network everywhere and avoid all bt and mule areas this way?

Maybe it's possible. I think if we set up a zip line by bypassing BT, we can cross without damage.

Yes, you certainly can avoid most if not all BT and MULE encounters by just using ziplines.

Excellent :)

Only downside to ziplines is you're limited to sam's cargo capacity, so some orders will take multiple trips.

Still worth setting up zipline networks, though.

I remember setting them up across the mountains they worked really well.

You mean just what sam can carry even with exoskeletons? And just not his floating carrier thing?

Yep.

Yes zipline networks are not only extremely feasible but objectively the best way to do it.
In the first zone its very easy to set up a network that connects everywhere.
It gets a little dicier in the next zone but in general its doable if you know how to properly lay them out and space them.
You will likely be removing and modifying the layout over time as more areas become available.
In general its not worth upgrading despite the benefits it brings.

But yeah. Zipline networks are the way to go.

Upgrading to tier 2 is most definitely worth it for the range increase. It allows you to space the zipline points out farther to cover more distance with less network usage.

Upgrading to tier 3 is best because you get both the increased range plus the greater timefall resistance (I think something like 150% resistance) :commandervideo:

Tier 3 isn't worth it on it's own because of the extra effort to lug 1440 Special Alloy and Chemicals to each location. That said, might be better to upgrade than repair. The cost is too high for just some timefall resistance though.

great way to get likes too if you have a well placed one. I got ~1k in the mountains north of the scientists (archologist I think)
