If you have the BB active and using a bike, look at the odradek scanner on your back it shows the direction of the closest BT so you can maneuver around avoiding BTs if you have space. If you are using a truck though then you have to clear the path from BTs and keep going.

But wont the noise of the bike alert them?

If you are too close then yes they will hear you but you'll have no trouble if you avoid encounter and manage your surroundings.

try to speed up your bike near BT area, might have chances to avoid them to drag you down.

Despite hearing you, BTs have a remarkably short detection radius even when you're using a bike or truck. My method is to go slow and be careful for touching BTs, but annoyingly they can affect the truck from over a metre away, and I frequently fail. Also, if you get pulled out of your truck while still in a tar pool you'll immediately get taken to the catcher.

just have a blood grenade ready when you get dragged and throw it at your feet.

if they catch you, they will unload your entire cargo from bike or truck and drag you down for that repetetive whale octopus goo fight

The more open areas you can just hit the booster and plow through. Even if you hit a BT you can still get away before being dragged out of your truck or off your bike by never letting off the gas.

If you are in an area where you can't really get up to full speed you might be better off going around.

There is few things to notice with vehicles in BT areas. First, depending the difficulty you play, the BTs catch you faster in higher difficulty. Meaning you don't have time to boost or even to go forward...
The truck is ofc better than the bike because it protects you from the reach of the BTs although you have less boost than the bike.. So I'd say that depending the area you are going, prefers one over the others...
Another thing is that if you are catched from the truck and you have stuff on your back, it won't get damaged o, I did like 4 entering/being dragged out of the truck in a BT's area and the cargos wasn't damaged at all asn was able to run away.

That's one I found out the hard way - it caused my one and only voidout because I got cocky and rather than walking through the BTs like I normally did, I ploughed through the area & clipped a rock which slowed my movement for long enough that the BT my truck had stopped immediately beside was able to grab me without any chance for me to get away.

Glad to know that it wasn't something I did wrong (other than get impatient and drive through BT areas in the first place.) :gc_like:

BTs can kill you? I didn't realize catchers even had any real attacks lol (besides the laser when you deliberately stay around to farm them)

I've not heard of the grazers (the things you avoid) pulling you out, I meant that the grazer will summon the tar pool and that the door opens and the bodies that come out of the tar can still pull you out, and if they do it counts as being knocked over, so you have a lot less defence than if you were on foot.

Yeah, my truck unfortunately hit a rock which caused me to lose all momentum as the tar pooled around me, then the hands decided it was GTA5 time and carjacked me. :-p
I tried moving away, but it was straight down from there. :-)

Just unlucky, I guess
