Which Level of Armor plate to use
Is there any reason to use the higher level armor plates compared to the level 1 ones?

Of course there is! The higher level plate absorbs more damage, check the information in game. :dsfist::commandervideo:

It does say they give you better damage reduction to gunfire and melee attacks. Ngl tho, the high level plates look weird

Well tbh, you dont really need them unless you're fighting human enemies, Im not sure if they offer any protection at all from routine falls and such. :commandervideo:

I just wear them cause they look good I guess, dunno if they really help with melee damage tho but it sounds like they do. According to someone else I should just use the level 1 ones since higher level isn't worth it

That makes no sense at all to not use the higher level plate. I understand aesthetics but to say the higher level is somehow "not worth it" just boggles the mind. :deadweight::commandervideo:

From the descriptions in game of the items level 1 only protects the part it is on, levels 2-4 protect your whole body and help recharge your battery.

Never did any testing though since I was never really hurting for resources I just made the level 4 armor whenever I wanted to use it.

I never bothered with armor. I’d hide behind a boulder or my truck, wait till a bad guy came around, and I knocked them out with 1 bola to the head.

That is literally like saying "My leather jacket looks awesome, I choose to wear that into battle instead of the kevlar because that kevlar makes my ass look fat." :cozyteddymoo:

I wear them on my shoulders with the space heaters on my waist. As others stated I mainly use them for aesthetics. I store whatever keeps under the backpack cover, offload the rest on hover-carts/vehicles.

Just because you can stack 15+ things on my back does not mean I will.
Looks too damn goofy imo, like all those memes people made to mock this game...

Pretty much the same here, I rarely need the space on my arms and legs anyways since I do most deliveries by truck or just use the floating carts. If I am being honest I much prefer the bulky look of the level 1 plates compared to the weird looking higher level ones
