Saved data is corrupted and cannot be load

I copied my old saves into a new install of Death Stranding, and now when I try to load the saves I get the message "Saved data is corrupted and cannot be load". Is there any way to get these saves to work again?

The saves have your unique Steam/Epic Account ID embedded in them so you can't trade them between Steam/Epic accounts and that includes loading saves that were made with the CPY version. The corrupt save error also happens if you try to share them between two of your own family shared accounts since they will have different Steam IDs. The saves just aren't transferable between accounts at all.

The folders directly under %localappdata%\KojimaProductions\ aren't random numbers, they are the STEAMID3 of the account used to create the saves and will not work if moved around between accounts without that ID matching.

This is sad. I'll not buy this game (and I really want to do it) 'cause I can't transfer my save file.

You want to download someone elses save in otherwords and gain everything immediately LOL
