Hi Guys,
I bought DS 1 day ago, so far i like it a lot.
The Problem is i dont have to build stuff because everything i need was built, at least it seems so.
Do i have to start a new game to get rid of the online stuff?
Is there any other way?

Thank you in advance!

Hell, I even stubbornly ignore using or making my own ziplines until heartman still.

So with the benefit of hindsight. Unless you are just fishing for cheap bragging right pats on the head? You don't want to disable online options.

Any structure you feel like is "cheating", just delete that item. Any time you think road donations is "cheating", I want to slap past me at launch in the face.

Hell, you even end up doing that if you LOVE online structures just to put one in a better position at times. From bridges to ziplines, the deeper into the game you go, the more you will be doing it yourself on matter how many online structures you see.

And #1 reason to carry a PCC on you at all times will be a dearth of power generators every time you start telling yourself "But I don't NEED to make aaaaanythiiiing!".

Online structures are essentially, your quest rewards in this game. More than getting a barrel of lightweight alloys or crystal plated ladders, "I completed this area enough to enable the grids" is your reward both in the narrative, and as a game mechanic.

So to turn it off, is like saying you want to play a survival game but also never eat any crafted foods and stick to raw fruit and meat.

But then, I HAVE seen people complain food that makes you vomit blood is overpowered compared to a sci-fi replicator because it saved you a couple manual inputs, so yeah.... People get stupid in the head over anything the least bit convenient on the surface, I guess.

Still? At least I know this game has a nice big cruel prank to anyone too proud to work with other porters waiting for them down the line.

And nobody who hypes up how proud they are of doing it all themselves, ever seems to be willing to ignore ghosts handing them weapons when the time comes. I metagame pre crafted eight optional unlock multi lock on missile launchers to carry on a floating carrier my latest playthrough for one part. Still needed the extra firepower handed to me from online ghosts.

You can play in offline mode so that other players structures are not available to you but I think online mode has too many benefits. Personally, one of the things I liked about the game was a sense of connection. Plus the satisfaction of creating a structure of your own that other players find useful.

If you are looking to get all achievements in the game I would recommend playing in online mode because you will need to travel all over the map constantly and having zip lines, trucks and roads will be invaluable.

I'm not sure how the mechanic works but you will find that the game only places a select few items around the place. I have had structures in places that I know would be extremely useful but they get no likes because clearly the game hasn't placed them into other user's worlds.
