That's how I do it, but there are missions that require you to retrieve cargo from within a bunch of bt's. In that case, the baby helps.

i find it easier to just let them capture me and take me to the main BT. once he appears the others go away and you can just run away from it. it's been easier doing that so far. faster too. takes less time to run away from the boss BT than to sneak around the small BT.s

I am on very hard, sometimes I get eaten by the boss which is instant death... Maybe you are too and are just better at the combat than me. Either way, in my case, I find BB to be useful for these deliveries.

Useless? Unless only at difficulty levels below "high". You see a creature - you immobilize and cut the umbilical cord. And you need BB to see them.

Throw the poo poo grenades and they will go in whatever direction you throw them at. Or just walk on the side of mountains and they wont spawn there anyway.

works for me so far. i did it all the way to port knot city. just hugged the side of mountains the whole way. but again i play on normal difficulty so it might be different on hard mode.

BB is great! Sadly he really doesnt do much to the gameplay.
I was playing on hard and BB rarely aproached autotexemia (if thats the word).
And even if, you just dont see the BTs anymore. Its rather easy to escape or even fight the Boss BT.
