Useless bridges everywhere

Just a curiosity post with no complaining, but I'm puzzled.

I see many bridges built in the mifddle of nowhere that not cross anything, they don't cross a river, don't connect two mountain peaks, don't go over muddy areas, don't make passing with a vehicle easier. And they often have thousands of likes.

Is it a meme or something? I know I only get part of other peolpe buildings, so an odd zipline tower or recharger that doesn't make sense in my world can be a part of an infrastructure in the world of the builder. But those bridges not connecting anything wouldn't make sense in any world or infrastructure, and the map is filled with them.

Oh well, I'll build my useless bridge in a plain and wait the thousands likes. :)

RL MULEs made them.

I just delete them from my world so they are not an eyesore, and remove strand connection if there are too many idiotic just-for-likes placements from same person.

My record is a 15K likes on a bridge. You have to ride "popularity waves" - upgraded structures are "projected" into more worlds of other players. The more players see your structure, the greater chance they will find it useful (I managed to build a bridge on day 1 near Knox Capital City - instant 3K likes), and that they will like your structure, and liked structures are also projected into more worlds. So as long as your ride the like waves, you have new and new poeple that bring more and more likes. Than it stops, your structure has been seen by all who might find it useful, and that's it. It's hard to predict, but people's needs can be anticipated.

I am not puzzled at all, it is exactly what i expect from todays braindead but most of all childish gamer community and all those who nobody seem to like in real life so they hunt for virtual likes. Stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

By the way i think this "online community feature" of this game is total crap and useless anyway, but guess they must implement such useless online features for games these days coz it is the best way to be safe from piracy.

As the online mechanics are in no way required and can be completely disabled, you may want to re-think your stance here.

There's always at least one guy who gets unreasonably upset over some minor aspect and then projects his anger in completely nonsensical ways to somehow make it seem that society is collapsing. At this point we can call it a Law, like Godwins Law, except we call it Whiny Gamers Law.

I am re-thinking my stance only for the part of the online-feature being a must-do coz i was wrong with that.

But i still think the online component is dull and crappy, or to say it with this one guy´s message over at reddit:

...that´s exactly how i don´t want a game to be because i prefer my games hard, meaning i actually don´t want to find one single stupid ladder from someone else and put it there on my own.

I've found one placed over a BT trigger point before so you can pass through without setting off an attack....pretty useful..
