sorry if i am late :)
It's even worse when you think about the claims of "So it's more immersive when the game plays music while you are walking on it's own terms!"
Because, no. no. All you get there is a song starting up, and then before it barely gets going the song ends abruptly when you reach your destination unless you stop, sit down, and let the music play.
"Oh cool, music has started up now that I'm past the BT canyon and on the last downhill stretch to port knot city. This is nice-Oh that was over fast." Extra awkward there because the music cuts out on the long boring walk down the empty pavement you have there.
I like the the THEORY of why we don't have an in cyber cuff music player, but it does not meet the actual reality of how it feels. "Oh hey, music time. Wonder what awkward moment it will be abruptly cut off this time."
EDIT: Also even with the steam music player hot takes, that reminds me how the Steam Soundtrack is 99% just unliscenced ambient music for the game. So uh... That hot take is pretty worthless without even further goalpost shifting to "Well then download the real songs or play something else then!"
this or any other player:)
You don't like it, that doesn't make it a mistake.
This argument would make sense for the partially scripted story missions, but falls apart for the open-world "Standard Order" gameplay.
Are you argueing that even that busy work has to be done in complete silence, except for the humm of the truck?
