Am I big dumb or can you not play music while walking?

I swear there was a way to have your collected music playing while you walked, but I can't find it.

you can't, music only plays during some of the main quest orders

You can play it in your private room by going to the map/menu. I have not tried doing the same in game yet. I will give it a go today. I imagine you can though.
I should really because the music is effin excellent.

Not as good as an ingame Audioplayer but you could just use youtube(im pretty sure the DS songs are uploaded) or a 3rd party audioplayer in the Background. Some keyboards like mine have specific keys for pause/on music so we dont even have to tab out everytime.

However we can’t play music while walking which is a bit of a let down.

I've got a whole jukebox on my back and I'm still walking. No really I would carry around a full size jukebox just to be able to enjoy some of the music in this game.
