Xbox One controller issues with RT

Hello,

I have rather odd problem with controller, the RT button.
It works while zooming and throwing granades, however it does not do anything at all when trying to place a structure, to grab something in right hand or for balancing. At all, no reaction whatsoever.

Any idea what could cause this? I have tried it plugged and wireless, tried calibration, tested all buttons work fine and even connected second older Xbone controller, but came to have the very same issue, drivers up to date as well, restored keybinds ingame to default multiple times too just in case.

Would be very gratefull for any clue what could possibly cause this.

There's a discussion about "phantom" commands....its getting a bit annoying but it comes and goes.....its not just RT...but it will be X and LT too. Hoping they clean it up when they get done with their rumored remaster.

I gave up on trying to solve it and just wired the wireless, with brand new controller. It solves like 95% of the control issues, even if it is annoying to put cables where you specifically paid to not have any. I have no idea what the problems is.

Wired here....not the controller.....its something funny funny with the game.

I refuse to go wireless for most games these days... excluding obvious things like the Switch.

I have a similar bug. I cannot pee outside. I can get my junk out but when I use right trigger to unleash the stream nothing happens.

All my issues seem to have come with the Cyberpunk update. Did not have one issue for 240hrs till that update came

Normally I'd say its not the update.... but every time I turn around and hear Cyberpunk..... I can't help but be suspicious lol.

But saddly I'd say the odds are more the game than anything.... and no idea why or how.

If I load a really old save it's ok. Tried Keyboard, two different Xbox controllers, steam controller. Validating files etc..etc.. Nothing fixed it.

Shame really because I like helping mushrooms grow.

Glad I'm not losing my mind, others are experiencing the same problems with this game. Shame no-one has figured out how to fix it though... (Xbox One wired controller, all other games play fine)

Oh....this thread came back - try this if your XB1 Controller. As someone shared this with me.

MAKE SURE THE GAME IS NOT RUNNING
Step 1: Disconnect controller and leave it disconnected
Step 2: Launch Game
Step 3: When you land on the main menu - reconnect controller
Step 4: ???
Step 5: PROFIT!!!!

Phantom Controls are 99.999% gone for me.....brilliant.

The best solution I founded is disconnect and connect again the controller. Is courious that when I use this method, when I close the game, the controller disconnect too. Maybe the game use some integrated driver instead of xinput. I don't know.

I finally freaking got it! If your on epic, if not, just jump the epic steps!

I used two methods together and after 65h of gameplay I can finally play with no hassle.

First, add the epic game store as a "non stem game" in steam, then, go to big picture and configure like this posts says, after that, just to be sure go into the epic still in big picture and in, Controller configuration, put the dead zone of the triggers in .175 (the triggers are the worst part when driving) and voilà, play smoothly and be happy.
