I've been looking for the first companion cube after receiving the message, but i seem to be looking in the wrong place. I can't find any videos or forum posts about it either. Would anyone be willing to share the location if they've found it?

Nope, still searching for it. I think it's small enought to be almost invisible if you don't look closely.

And since I am "rushing" to chapter 5 (the one where I left on PS4) I don't have actually the will to find it. So if someone else knows the exact position it will be appreciate.

I spent so much time to find the subject from the letter. Although I already had glasses. I thought I was given them for 5 stars

It's right by the river. It looks like normal cargo (big yellow cylinder) but it has a small Companion Cube inside it. Just head slightly North East from the Distro Center and you'll spot it. I think it also shows up on the map when you're near it.

Found the cube near the Distribution Center, turning right from the entrance. Not sure if the location is randomized, but there it was. Stumbled upon it by accident while delivering stuff.

Didn't you get an email about it? I did, and the email told me about the cube's general area. A simple scan took care of the rest.

I did get the email, yeah. I was just so focused on doing these side deliveries that I completely forgot about it. Just saw it on the ground and thought to myself ''Hey, that's an odd looking one.'' then I remembered it.

I basically found it by accident as well. I'd had the email, and had also just picked up a mission from the Delivery Center to grab some documents from a MULE camp just to the North East, so basically on the route back to Capital Knot City.

This was on the bike, I basically just rode up the East bank of the river, heading North from the Delivery Center, noticed some items on the ground, so jumped off (probably less than half way to the MULE camp), and did a scan, and then noticed the Half Life related item in the scan result, and basically went, "Wait, is that a Companion Cube in a crate?!".

It was literally about a 30 second bike ride from the Delivery Center, close to the East bank of the river, well before getting to the Waystation.

I found it difficult to find as somebody had built a bridge across it, so the scan didn't highlight it. As the bridge was across the land and not the river next to it, can't help feeling it was done to hide it on purpose.

I completely missed the cube because my stupid brain went Southwest towards the river's origin instead of Northeast like the email told me to. When I turned around later, I realized my mistake and quickly found it. The cube was decently close to the base, washed up on the shore of the river, had a bright yellow lighting instead of the pink heart, and even showed up when I scanned for items with the Odradek -- once I went the right direction, I couldn't miss it. Just take the bike up the river in the direction the email tells you to go and you'll find it for sure (hopefully)!

I've met this situation,too though that bridge owns about 2k likes,it did hid the box.

If a bridge or anything else is in your way, just dismantle it to remove it from your iteration of the World.
A better placed bridge should soon appear in its place.

Funnily enough i made this guide like half an hour after i made this thread. I was just straight up blind every time i walked back and forth from the distro center to the waystation.
