Map scale?
How small is the map in this game? cause I've just reconnected the 2nd place and the map shows I'm like a 3rd of the way across the US already

It's fairly spacious, but not enormous. The 2nd area is MUCH larger than the east coast, which was essentially a training area of sorts.

that sounds correct. don't over think it cause it hurts your head if you do.

Its not US scaled by any means. Which is a good thing. You spend a lot of time in the second and third areas.

I wasn't expecting US scale but it's quite jarring looking at the map after how far I've actually gone

First area is tiny, don't waste time there in the beginning. You can revisit it later.

Biggest protip anyone can give for this game is to play at least to Chapter 6 or so before stopping to go back to side content. Reason is a lot of core tools and such are unlocked via story progression, and revisiting 'later' rather than earlier makes your life MUCH easier.

I was avoiding looking for any other feelings on map scale as I kinda really didn't want to spoil my experience with, what has to be one of the best games I've played. Dunno what it is but I really get a lot of enjoyment lugging cargo in the way Sam does. Really liking the tech and all that. But yeah I was surprised I'd covered so much distance and only changed my walking shoes twice (just visited the wind farm so still early on for me. Also can't see much use for the bike except for time sensitive cargo.. wait, not timefall sensitive cargo.. oh you know what I mean.

In a nutshell, totally loving this game!

You will come to love wheels...

A real scale map would be ginormous considering it's coast to coast, not just one city or state. I don't need a map that takes me 24 real hours (or whatever) just to cross it, haha.

I do wish they'd made the game map a little bigger tho. When you're in the main world map it'll seem pretty big at first (enough that you'll love wheels or ziplines or both, at least for some deliveries), but myself, after a while, even if running around on foot most of the time (which I prefer doing outside of rushing deliveries for time/score) it won't seem overly huge anymore.
