PROS
-Windows 10 is still a free upgrade as long as you are using a legally purchased and
registered version of 7, just download the media creation tool from the
microsoft site (AND THE MICROSOFT SITE ONLY).
-Windows 10 does multiple screens and alt tabbing perfectly. No more crashes and
flickering and everything else that windows 7 had. You can alt tab into and out of any
game (that I've seen so far) with zero problems, fullscreen, windowed, or not.
-DX12 and further GPU drivers.
-10 does seem to start up and shutdown faster than 7. It's not night and day, probably
just a few seconds but I've seen it talked about so here it is if that's important to you.
-I'm playing Death Stranding. I wouldn't be on 7.
CONS (SORT OF)
-10's start menu isn't great but you can pick and choose the setup and remove the
garbage so you don't have to look at it.
-Unstoppable updates. You can pause updating for 7-30 days but eventually 10 will
automatically download and install them without your go ahead. It will NOT restart on
you automatically while you're using the computer however.
-10's UI looks flat and lame at first compared to 7 but it grew on me. The black is
sleek compared to the blue.
-Cortana is always listening, unless you turn her off during install.
-MASSIVESOFT IS STEALING MY DATA. Well, think about it, they already were. You can
tell yourself they weren't to help your sleep but you know it's true. We all have
google and apple phones, do you honestly think all these tech giants don't already
have your SIN and bank account numbers?
Overall I think it was worth it. I'm not here to force anyone but if there are other 7 holdouts on the fence this is my two cents. I have to say I am really impressed with the multi monitor and alt tabbing support, this is a big upgrade from 7.
Alt tab is basically the same between 7 and 10.
7 can boot up as fast as 10 if you rename bootres.dll
Roflmao. Dude, this exact thing also happened back when Windows XP users refused to upgrade, but at one point, they have no choice. Games, Software and hardware just stops working on outdated software at some point. And it's a major security risk to use outdated software that doesn't receive security updates anymore. Luckily, over 92% of users on Steam now uses Windows 10 64Bit, only 2,5% uses Windows 7.
And soon it will be 0%. It's pretty simple really. By all means, build a retro box and play old games, no problem, i have one of those myself, a 486 66mhz with voodoo 2 and soundblaster 16 which i use to play dos games on, but it's not like i expect it to play Anything after 1998.
Very hearthy truthspit
No, around 5-6 % using it
here's a tip for you. when you have no clue what you are talking about, don't even say something. Here is a link to the Steam survey, check it yourself.

It is their choice what OS they use, especially when it comes to the extremely flawed Windows 10.
Perfect reasoning, it's so flawed, only 93% of people are using it. Go figure. :D
Discussion and debate is a waste of time.
Now if you managed to get it to run - good for you - but don't be surprised if you run into instabilities and issues.
Anyone still sitting on windows 7 will continue to suffer as its fallen out of support and security patching cycles. Its a foolish thing to do and will be riddled with problems.
Is it your choice? Yes - but its a very poor choice. If your stuck there due to finances - well can't be helped - but don't expect any mercy as the industry continues to roll forward and leave you behind.
Drivers....hardware...the list grows.
Especially games that are primarily DX12 support (if not only - like this one if I'm not mistaken)
Windows 10 PRO (not home) is vastly better off in terms of stability and pretty much feels like Windows 7 did with some minor exceptions.
That said - you can wish all you want....but this game is on the hard pass list for running on windows 7 for the foreseeable future.
Ignoring the fact that popularity doesn't equal quality, you can't even call it popular in this case, because this number comes from people being lured into using it through a free update, being forced to use it because of modern game and hardware compatibility issues (which are artificial, because Microsoft wants to force people to move and sell Win10), because new computers automatically come with Windows 10 (NOT chosen!), because people without experience with computers will frequently immediately pick the newest product without considering its benefits or flaws.

Good job missing the point, you sound like one of those insane cultist recruiters, however.
