I'm also concerned that this doesn't output audio to the gamepad's speaker, but just to the output jack on the gamepad.
do you see the ps4 speaker in the windows audio settings? (mines not appearing there..may be my issue)
for the controller or it would not show up as ps4 controller in windows and steam, nor would the game show the x button etc correctly or allow the use of the motion controller....its litteraly just the sound thats the issue.
touch pad being one side call out, other side photo mode is cool though. on my xbox pad photo mode tends to be both sticks in and i often do that on accident in some games
You can find the Sony wireless adapter online by searching for 'sony dualshock 4 usb wireless adapter'.
Unless the game can specifically trigger the controller's speaker, then it's only going to output to the headphone jack on the controller, which isn't very useful. It'll be later this afternoon before I can play enough to test it.
also in the adverto on amazon i notice :
You can utilise every feature of DUALSHOCK 4, including buttons, analog sticks, touch pad, light bar, motion sensors, vibration and stereo headset jack, as long as the application supports these features
they mention everything but the speaker, thats annoying. I may stick to my xbox pad (though that feels some how sacriligous lol) as i prefer the weight and feel of it... assuming photo mode is easy to access, on the ps4 pad it is apparently touch pad left
I was able to test and confirm that BB doesn't come out of the controller's speaker, only from the headphone output on the controller. Meh, guess I'll just send BB to the default audio device.
What? You don't need this to use yoru controller. Unless you're talking about the audio.
You still need to use headphones plugged into the DS4. If you go into sound control you should see a new speaker there, maybe is disabled.
