Resolution stuck at 1280x720
I can't change my resolution, it's fixed at 1280x720. And I can't edit the config, it just says invalid when I launch and then it resets.
Anyone else getting this?

An alternative for those with Nvidia cards. (I think it's possible with AMD too, check the link) You can force your resolution to be something it isn't in the Control Panel.
I've got a 1680x1050 and I've got it running in 1920x1080 now.

https://www.howtogeek.com/316682/how-to-run-pc-games-at-resolutions-higher-than-your-monitor-with-supersampling/

Basically you go into the Nvidia Control Panel, go to Adjust Desktop Size and override the scaling in games.

Then you add a custom resolution in Display -> Change Resolution. After that you just change your screen resolution like you normally would to your new custom one.
Now you launch your game and it's in 1920x1080.

Same. Even if you set the "recommended" setting trough the GeForce Experience, it just throws an error and resets them. Not sure how it's possible to miss such things during launch.

SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Death Stranding\settings.cfg.

Look at the "Window top/bottom/left/right" fields too.

Unsure if you need to be sure their difference = your chosen resolution, but better safe than sorry.

Oh, looks like an HDR flag is in there too.

editing the config just makes the game say "invalid graphics configuration" :steamfacepalm:

Yup, that got it, running in a correctly sized window now.

Did you do the math on the following lines? (Using 1920x1080 as an example):

"rendering_width" "1920" "rendering_height" "1080" "hdr" "0" "window_left" "-10" "window_top" "0" "window_right" "1910" "window_bottom" "1080" "window_mode" "1"

Be sure that "right"-"left" = rendering_width, and the same with "bottom" - "top" = rendering_height.

So in the settings.cfg you set both rendering_width/rendering_height and window top/bottom/right/left to your desired resolution?

Yeah, that's what worked for me.
