Why am I receiving no likes?
So I've spent quite a bit of time building things I think other players would find very useful however, I have received zero likes on 90% of my structures. It could be a simple answer that the people who are linked to my game won't like my structures but it almost appears as though nobody is using them at all.

I hear some players are getting 2k likes on their structures...the most I've gotten is 638. That number hasn't changed in the days I've played. It just stopped going up in likes. Strange?

Can someone explain this to me? Are my structures just not going online? How do I insure they do?

Does it really matter?

I suppose it doesn't really but it does increase my stats when I finish quests. Mostly I am just curious on how exactly the system works and why some structures get likes but most of my structures don't -shrug-

Maybe people just don't like them :( Or maybe more likely the game has a way of only showing you the highest scoring ones to avoid poorly placed/troll ones. Maybe you're just unlucky and the few people that have come across your structures don't bother liking them. Dunno man...

Maybe nobody is playing the game ?

I guess, who would play for 10 hours until the game "start to get good" ?

I guess I get it OP, put structures where new players start.

Can you link ladders together to form words or the middle finger or something like that? Internet people seem to like that sort of thing as opposed to things with a practical purpose.

Reminds me of one of the roads I built that started with 0 resources. Once it was built, I noticed there were no notifications that people liked the additional structure to help them get around. After a while I went back to check the structure out and it showed another person had already built it previously and there were thousands of people that liked the benefit of having it.

Not sure if this is what you're experiencing, but if people find a structure useful along the way, they'll more than likely mention it.

This is definitely something to think about. As the game world opens up and people start taking different routes to all those different locations for a contract or exploration, the chances of people coming across whatever you built decreases.

I was exploring around a giant waterfall and saw someone put a sign for jumping over a small gap of rocks with the bike. Seemed kind of fun to try so I gave it 1 of 3 likes lol

I hvae like 3000 active likes on some things, especially charging stations.

But passive likes are both of ours is probably tens of thousands cause you get one for people just going near it.

you got to build them in areas that are high traffic. Theres like half a dozen just on the ramps up to the surface of major hubs.

The "Keep on Keeping on" is nice for boosting stamina too which people like.

I think I understand how this system works. When you add an area to the chiral network, game randomly chooses a bunch of players and randomly imports their structures and also changes the area of the map to the version with lots of roads etc. It takes care to not import anything you can't build yourself yet. After this is done, no more new buildings appear in that area, until you add another, in which case new types of buildings can be added to all the previous areas.
This means, in particular, that if you made a set of structures, they won't be imported together and will lose their usefulness. This is most important for ziplines.
How many your buildings gets copied probably dictated by your 'bridge level' and 'upgrade request' flags have priority.
If you are destroying your early buildings and build the most advanced ones, they won't be visible to noobs. If you go to the 1st area and build tons of ziplines, they probably won't be used at all. Bridges and generators have a lot more chances, especially if in busy places.
Also, if you already have online structures in some important spots, you should still build your own there, if you need likes.
Probably the game doesn't track your progress continuously, but makes snapshots of what you have built only rarely, maybe when you are making deliveries.
This could explain why vehicles are copied while they are blocking entrances.

Additionally, there's strand contract system through which you probably should connect with people who are actually using like button and are actively playing.

Hey, aside of making strand contracts, how many likes do you give?
When I find a useful structure I can give up to 500 likes in a single attempt :) Which is a chore also, but at least completely voluntary.
Also spent around 2 days on roads, but finally realized I'm just wasting time. :(

Only took me like 6 hours to pave all the roads in that area by just taking all the resources from the dozen outposts nearby. And made deliveries as I did so maxxing out all but one outpost (the Collector) in that play session shortly after.

Plus if you care enough everytime someone even touches a road you contributed stuff to you get likes. I have like 400k just from that.

Depends what you call 'area' You can't build that much even if you suck the outposts dry of ceramics and metals. I needed to also raid mules etc. Maybe in your session they were already partially built. I had to supply 50-70% of res to most road segments in my game, some were empty altogether. 2 were done initially, I believe. or just 1..

No its pretty carefully balanced that by the time you get outposts built up to 5 stars you have way more than enough metals and enough ceramics to leave about 300 or so in each one.

Hell the mere act of delivering to certain places rewards you with special versions of materials and the deliveries themselves are sometimes materials that you can then take. By the end of "Mama" if you have done a decent amount of sidequests and/or your fellow servermates you should have more than enough. The trick is to "activate" them by donating even a little so others can help you out. But yeah you usually have to do about half yourself. Gotta figure most are in the 2000 range with some lower and some up to 3000 that is easy.
