Is this game easy?

is finding your way to go easy or is there a ton of backtracking and many ways to get lost? I want to play a fun colorful upbeat game because im dealing with depression and PTSD because my brother recently killed his girlfriend and committed suicide. I spent days in a mental health facility. so I'm looking for something lighthearted and not much of a challenge and more relaxing than anything. Life is hard enough right now.

Almost no backtracking, and it's very easy yeah. I cleared it in like 4 hours and I think I died like 14 times? Most of them were from instant death slip ups that were very minor set backs, I only died from damage once and that was against the last boss.

Easy is relative of course but I can tell you that personally I too was looking for something
Fun
Lighthearted
Colourful
Not too difficult

This game thicks all those boxes.

I am also someone who hates doing the same level over and over again and I get easily
annoyed with hard platformers or loooong stretches before you reach a checkpoint.

But with pumpkin Jack I have not been annoyed once.
It also has good checkpoints and just very fun levels.

May I also suggest this game, which ticks quite the same boxes

Sayonara taps into rhythm action and twitch reflexes opften, ( even though it always resets you after death ) the casual-ness wears off once you realize you ain't getting a proper ending withouth all the secrets, fantatsic game though.
doesn't really line up with this, although - A hat in time does. Pretty casual hop and bopper.

Hmm you're right, I never pushed Sayonara further than casual and I can imagine the game being a bit frustrating if you're a completist. I was going for the uplifting feeling it gives (most) people I quess. Hat in time is the better choice, cheers :)
