one of my favorite things to do in political simulators is to do promises that will never ever be done and just dumping the economy, birthrate, and employment. So when i get ousted i can watch the guy that just took control have a very bad time and possibly take decades to recover

Kinda. Not sure how the economics work but I think raising corporate taxes too high leads to income declining. I'm sure there are other major policies you could do, like abolishing a bunch of anti poverty stuff and minimum wages.
