Campaign Manager Idea
Campaign Manager
Elections are fun, and running for office is cool and all, but I think there should be a lot more jobs for people interested in behind the scenes politics. The Party Campaign Chairs are fun positions to play for a couple elections, but it can be very difficult to play and after a couple of elections it can get old. I think the next step forward would be campaign managers, and I think there would be tiers.

US House Candidate Campaign Manager -
Required Experience
To serve in this role you must:
Be from the same state and district the candidate is running in
Have served one election as a either City, State House or State Senate Campaign Chair, or any positions above that.
In this position you would serve as the Campaign Manager for a US House candidate. You can replace the staff, delegate the volunteers and manage the schedule for the candidate, as well as being able to set the campaign priorities. Howver, you cannot change the political views of the candidate or make contacts with any of the organizations or PACs for the candidates. If the candidate wins, you will have a high chance of being offered the job for their re-election campaigns, however, you are not required to accept. If they lose, you will not be offered another campaign manager job for that specific candidate. To start a house campaign manager job, it will be in the job menus.

US Senate/Governor Campaign
Required Experience
Be from the Same State the candidate is running in
Have served one election as a either City/State/House/Senate/Federal Campaign Chair or Campaign Manager for House Candidate or high
This position would be very similar to House Campaign Manager, however you must be offered the job by the candidate, and your chances of being offered the job would depend on elections won, political points and amount of past campaign ran. You can also be fired from these campaigns if the candidate loses a certain amount of support.

Presidential Campaign
Required Experience
Have at least one successful Senate/Governor Campaign
Served on 1 or more Campaign as Campaign Manager for any election type
20,000 Political Points
The mechanics to being hired would be the same as Senate/Governor campaigns, and you could also be fired due to bad primary results. Winning a Presidential Campaign would mean you have a 100% chance of being offered the role of Campaign Manager for re-election, as well as a 100% chance of being offered the role of Campaign Manager for any of election campaigns of your Senators and your House Rep.

Feedback would be appreciated.

This is a good idea. However, I think the required experience should be more of a suggestion, if you will, then an actual requirement. There shouldn't be requirements, but you should be more likley to be hired if you meet the qualifications that you specified.

I'd add in an option to become Chief of Staff to a Candidate once in Office.

However I'm not sure how much that would add to the game. I'd much rather see the Campaign Committee Chair role be filled by another politician. For example the Senate and House Campaign Committees are headed up by an existing member of the Senate or house. That way we are building more features into the core gameplay. Plus if you do a good job the extra political points make it easier to build towards being Speaker/ Majority Leader.

Yeah, that's a good idea. Kinda like term limits and age requirements

I've thought of that but I think it would be more interesting to give an actual purpose to Chief of Staff you hire.

I think it would be cool if you could join a presidential campaign as a relative nobody and become a field organizer and then rise up the ranks and eventually be in charge of a state and then a region and then the whole thing.
