Too easy to be made president?
I was made president in 2016. Straight from school board to president.

I hhad only 0.3% of the popular vote but won the EC. I left most settings as defaults for a first go. And its possible I may lose the next election, but should it be that easy? I mean the whole senate and HoR is at least 75% or higher democratic too.

It probably is too easy to become president. I am currently working on an update that will attempt to improve the election mechanics of the game. This will include new factors that influence elections, such as age and experience. Being "too young" and having no experience will decrease the likelihood of voters supporting a candidate.

Will there be other languages in the future?

I plan to add more languages once the game is closer to full release.

I am so thrilled to hear this message, I took heed of this game so long, but simultaneously limited by my so-so languages level. Hoping the Chinese version, no matter Simplified or traditional, will be available in soon.

Man. I am 500 hours into this. I have won as Republican in the bluest districts and a Democrat in the reddest ones but I have only managed to win the Presidency one time. You have to share your secrets.

it's pretty easy tbh you just have to use a lot of national internet ads to increase name recognition and spend millions marketing in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada. If you win the first two or three states you'll usually clinch the nomination by Super Tuesday. If you don't win the first time you'll usually be the frontrunner if you choose to run again after that. I've played easily 15 games on normal difficulty and I've only lost the presidential primary three times.

All I did was spend money on tv campaigns, and ensure I did fund raising, Pushed through any policy I wanted - Given I I'm socially libeeral I went down that path. I annoyed the republicans and libertarians and gun lobby but - meh - don't care much for them.

But yeah I did a Donald Trump, lost the popular vote by a long way. But somehow won the EC.

I spammed every week to every assistance to fellow democratic candidates too. I've no idea how mentoring helps - or if it does - but I maxxed out people I mentored too.

I would like to have a difficulty setting or game mode where becoming president is extremely difficult (maybe including multiple factors that are completely out of your hands) so that it feels like a huge achievement to become president. the game has enough levels of lawmakers that for a playthrough to be fun we don't need to achieve everything everytime.

I think the new election system I am working on may make presidential elections more difficult on default settings (or maybe easier depending on how you currently play). If not, the vote factors can be adjusted to make things more difficult.
At some point, I would also like to add a difficulty slider, that will replace the current difficulty options and will include harder difficulties.
