Ideas for Gold Dragon

What do u suggest that would be interesting to play as golden dragon.I know the angel cleric merge spellbook path and it is a good path but I have already done that.What do u plan to play as,what aligment what class what chocies etc..Its been a while so I dont remember that much.I kind a want to worship good aligned dragon god(?) and play a class where belief matters or maybe worship to evil aligned one,be chatoic evil but repent overtime idk.What is ur fantasy and how r u planning to make a build around that ?

Demon in to gold dragon, at least what i'll be doing. I don't think class matters that much but a martial would be the best for both.

But you keep nothing from Demon right? So what would be the value other than RPing? I haven't read any changes to what other paths bring to GD. So if there's no change then Lich, Angel and Trickster are still your best choice.

I dont want angel cuz I played it a lot even tough I think it would be op.For trickster never played and idk it doesnt sound like a serious rp path to choose for gd.And the last lich.I only played lich ones,and I dont remember how many spells from the spellbook I actually used but as an magic caster maybe it can be choosen as a redemption rp.
I am still not sure what to play.Like I want to lean on the melee part of the gd,and maybe magus will help that if it merges with lich.

You keep the feats you selected as always, but nothing else. So things like Improved Improved Critical, Completely Normal Spell, but also feats you selected via Lore World 3. If going Trickster into GD I would consider a class with lots of feats to pick so you get to have those when going GD. You should be upto level 18 when you get the choice so anything before that is Trickster choice.

Lich cannot merge with Magus spellbook as Magus only has level 6 spells. You'd need an arcane caster with level 9 spellbook for that. So Arcanist, Wizard, Sorcerer or Witch.

The gold dragon cloak has bonus 9 level spells. So it's kind of going toward sorcerer.

From my experience in the gold dragon path with a bloodrager, the best 2 choices are either a sorcerer/dd (10/10, might the only instance where an even split is valid) or a shifter, depending on if you want a well rounded dragon with spells or a martial focused dragon (with powerful natural attacks)

what is dd ? and I dont think I have aquired the gd cloack when I played a gd how do u get that ?
Since magus cant merge with lich I was thinking of sorcerer+eldritch knight.Is it a bad idea ?

ok I guess its dragon disicple which suits more.I just hope it merges with lich.Cuz I have no idea.

Since you can cast in dragon form maybe wizard+loremaster in to 10 EK could be cool, mabye dip in to geomancer. You'll still get max level spells if you merge lich. Not sure if a few levels in to exploiter wizard is better than any sorcerer, but exploiter sure is strong.

I forgot the game,not that I was good at understanding to mechanics.Now I am redownloading and planning to open a old save and respec to understand what is what cuz as of now wizard+ek or dd+sorc sound kind of the same.I just want to have extra spells when becoming gd and ı played to many angels so I want to go lich first.Plus if I remember corretly lich has some spells require u to be in touch range which I didnt had a chance to use it much on my last run so I am hoping that it would be a interesting mix.

I tried sorc+dd with lich on a old save rn for a 10 min.It was looking fine.I turned to golden dragon too with the bloodline.Tho my base attack bonus was not that great.

Why not a Sensei Monk?

Given how the Golden Dragon seems to be themed around helping others achieve enlightenment and inner peace, a Monk / Bard styled hybrid archetype seems thematically appropriate.

DO NOT GO ARCANIST LICH!

I tried that once, and it was the worst possible decision for a merged spell book. Arcanists get way too small of a selection for prepared spells, so the bulk of my Lich powers were not available during that playthrough.
