Paladins get mercies for their lay on hand, one level removes fear and the second removes frightened. Then again, good luck running after your frightened character to lay hands on him when fighting a dragon ah.
Remove Fear description says +4 saving throw against fear but it doesn't completely remove Fear. What does +4 saving throw really do against feared characters? Do they roll a dice + 4 modifier and have to beat DC of fear each turn in order to remove fear?
Remove Fear should suppress Frightened.
Remove Fear doesn't seem to suppress Cowering, but I suspect that's because it's not technically a "Fear effect" even though it says "cowering in fear". This is probably another issue entirely, though.
I think remove fear is superior to pally’s aura. I will keep both of them though since it can be situational. Remove fear doesn’t remove fear but suppressed the fear effect as if there is no fear. But the ruration is longer than fear so they might as well just remove fear.
Fright or fear and it is basically game over. There is no way you can survive for three min. Either prevent it with aura or remove fear with remove fear. I can’t think of any other way.
