The best option for the diversion team I found was Sosiel, believe it or not. Have him stand his ground and he loses no one. Lann came in second place if you pick the maneuver option. He only loses one guy.

I really expected it to be a Redshirt/Virmire moment for Sosiel. But it turned out to be a shirt of bugs instead. I completely re-evaluated him after that.
