-> Immune to Blindness -> Gets Blinded
Seriously, this kinda stuff boils my blood. What else are we supposed to do? Prepare appropriately for enemies AND THE STUFF DOESN'T WORK.

FYI I'm using Ice Body to which I've gotten blinded AND ability drained.

Does anything work in this game? /frustrated

Mostly yes. Like 80%.
Then you have 20% which is not working right or the description is wrong (I never really know what is the issue) and depending on your team/builds you face them all or not.
Problem is, frustration from those 20% overweights the 80% working.

(% are examples)

While Icy Body should provide immunity to blindness, Ability DRAIN is different from the Ability DAMAGE that Icy Body protects against.
Huh? What are you talking about?

To be fair, it should protect against both. The description specifically states that spells and such that effect your physiology do not function against you. I'd think draining your vital statistics is an effect on your physiology, no?

And drain is a form of damage. Whether or not there's someone on the other end benefiting from the spell, the result for the target is the same: lowered stats. Whether you call them "damaged" or "drained", the effect is identical.

If someone punches a hole in my soda bottle, whether or not they drink what falls out has no effect on me.

I feel reasonably safe in suspecting this is YANO bugged spell.

Actually, I think protection from ability damage might be slightly bugged as a whole. I'm fighting a demon that is immune to ability damage, but it is taking ability damage from my Domain of Hungry Flesh, which describes the action as, "dealing 1d4 damage to a random ability score".

No, it shouldn't. Ability Damage and Ability Drain are different mechanics.
Damage is a weak one - just a -1 penalty to stat-related checks per 2 point of damage. Ability damage is healed naturally by rest and (aside from Constitution damage) couldn't kill you.
Drain is much severe one - it's actually reducing your stat, so, for example - you could lose a skillpoints & access to feats (unsure if that implemented in game). Drained stats do not heal naturally & any stat drained to 0 will kill you.

Also for example curses could be source of ability damage/drain. Do you really think that curse is affecting your physiology? :steamhappy:
