Plenty of topics on this already and info online. But your best start is just looking through the different DLC on Steam and then see what is combined in what Season's Pass. Or google it. Way easier than have someone else look it up for you (like us) and then try to explain it to you.
One of the main problems with season passes is that so many games only get a handful of DLC so they only have one pass that the industry has trained the audience to only expect one. There's always some complaint when a game has more than one from confused players.
But, you know, it's a fact of life in the games industry now. We're probably going to be dealing with season passes for a while.
Well not all season passes are the same tbh, I have no problem with Owlcats passes so far since they all have new content and seem fair priced for what they are.
Now if you tell me about games that before release they already have like 2 passes and the content in them is literal filler that they scrapped together just to check the season pass box like some weapon skins or other crap I probably wont use then yes I hate those things.
It takes way more than 2 seconds to parse the differences between game packages these days, hence all the threads about it. Also, the season pass model is trash, especially when you have MULTIPLE seasons passes!? It's a scam to charge someone for a season pass to get all the content, then be like, oh we have a season pass part TWO now that you must buy to get all the content. Just start working on a new game at that point a-holes...
Oh, I'm not confused. 1 season pass is bad. Multiple season passes is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I agree with you... having a game come out WITH season passes already ready to play on day one seems just a way to make more profit on day one....
owlcat's season passes on the other hand did provide more to the story.... though the first one wasnt as much.... their second season pass showed that they listened to player feedback and decided to give more of what the players wanted... and even mix in extra things on top of the base features of the DLC so that everyone got a little bit of everything....
Wouldn't it be nice if they gave that content to people who had already purchased the SEASON PASS! Instead of being like, oops. it's a NEW season, time to pay again!
I think it depends on the content... like with this game it didnt release the game and season passes at the same time... instead they released the game and kept working on adding more content to the game.... the whole season pass was just a bundle for it essentially... they listened to player feedback and decided to have a go at a season pass 2 and see what more they could improve the game.... a lot of requests that the players wanted ended up getting put into the season pass 2 content....
so in this case it wasnt really a grab for money.... it was more along the lines of pleasing the fans of this game...
actually they did give context.... saw the dev post long ago when first season pass was finished and they said they listened to feedback.... and they thought they could make more improvements to how they handle season passes for not just this game but for their future games as well...
You missed my point...
You can litterally go to the steam store page for this game and see all DLC available, then check the Season's Pass pages and see which DLC are in which Season's Pass.
Season's pass, when multple are needed, are always split because you can't just say it's 20 euro and then put 200 euro worth of content in there because otherwise it's an inconvenience to the buyer. If companies do what you imply they'd go bankrupt. Extra content is just that, extra content. And you need to pay for that. And I'm not talking about a skin added to a game type DLC here. The Season's Passes make it so you can buy things for cheaper than you would if you buy things individually.
