"Ice In the Blood" Prerequisite?
Trying to make a Winter Witch character, and I figured I'd go a Crossblood sorcerer with Water as their primary bloodline. I thought this would satisfy the "Ice in the Blood" prerequisite needed for the class. but when I check on the level up screen, it's still marked out in red.

Winter Child Druid also satisfies the prerequisites for entering Winter Witch.

Well, crap.

Guess I gotta respec their build, then.

winter witch is an unusual prestige class because so few classes can obtain it's requirements.

In tabletop it's even more extreme. As only the Winter Witch archetype of the Witch class can satisfy the Winter Witch prestige class entry requirements.

To be honest I feel a bit conflicted Owlcat made it so that both Shaman and Druid, both non-Witches, can now become Winter Witches in WotR.

It's also kind of a lacking class in WotR, since the big capstone ability is being able to ignore cold damage immunity with your spells, and there's a simple mythic power that everyone has access to for that.

Except in the tabletop, the ability to reduce an opponent's resistance to cold is phenominal since 99.9% of games don't use the mythic rules (and I don't even know if those rules allow for Elemental Ascension). And even then, in tabletop you only reduce their resistance by 50%. If they are immune to cold, they are still immune. Witch does have half their cold damage become non-specific at one point, which, again, is amazing in tabletop.

I don't think the hex that witches have in WotR that allows them to reduce an opponent's elemental resistances exists in tabletop either. I cannot remember ever reading it.
