I also saw some mod at modnexus that auto solves the fights (so you only have to handle the overworld movements but not the fights themselves) which supposely does provide the reward stuff but i haven't tried any mods myself.
When you have the opportunity to do so, take the spells Fireball and Fire Storm.
Congratulations, you can now win virtually every army battle the game throws at you.
If you're going Lich, you should also pick up Greater Negative Energy channel as well.
But seriously, Fireball and Fire Storm are ridiculously powerful when it comes to army battles. The only time when you're at risk of losing, is if the enemy has a Balor in their army. Balors are immune to fire, and can dish out freakishly high amounts of damage that can potentially hit your entire army depending on how they're positioned together.
I'm going Angel I think? I don't know I mostly play these games for the romance. Skip most of it ssince I play drunk and dont have HOURS to read. I'm just stuck it seems cuz I can go anywhere in the second act since I'm no controlling ym army a no desire to I cant find the se3tting to make the game to do.
I'm planning to jsiut rest a week or something in the camp to see if the roads clear out.
And play some Heroes of Might and Magic - Some of the Owlcat team worked on Heroes 5, which is why they wanted to add this into the game :)
Is there a tower on the map blocking the way? If so, you need to send an army to clear it before your hero's party can advance. Also, you choose which mythic path you follow at the end of Chapter 2. If you haven't conquered Drezen yet, then you haven't committed to a path.
The option to disable the army stuff can be found in the difficulty section. Should be able to switch the army management to auto.
HOWEVER, I would not recommend doing this on your first playthrough, because you will lose out on nearly all of the crusade management events. Once you set the management system to auto, you can not reverse it, without loading up a previous save or starting a new game.
Some of the management options are actually required for story related events, or certain mythic paths. For example, the Swarm that Walks requires you to complete a specific management event, while building the Lich's Necropolis does the same. You also will not be able to get the Ascension ending without completing several different research events.
In auto mode, the game will still build the Lich's necropolis for you, but it will do so at a much, much slower rate than choosing to do it yourself.
Also, I recommend making a save before taking a fort on the way to Drezen. Something always happens after you take a fort, and in some cases you may want to finish all quests in the area you already have access to before moving closer to Drezen.
Yes, I even said as much. However, the only ones you really need to be concerned with in that regard are the Balors.
Brimoraks and Salamanders are squishy enough that you can easily deal with them in other ways. It's just the Balors who can royally mess up your army if they score high in the initiative order.
Though I did forget to mention that archers are king in army battles. Specifically the Sniper (Marksmen) upgrade.
Have you considered not putting in any 50+ hours strategic "mini games" into Pathfinder 3? Or at least make them completely optional and/or much shorter?
Kingdom management was almost universally hated in Kingmaker, and Crusade does not fare much better in Wrath from what I've seen here - because people mainly want to play the actual game.
Yeah, Kingdom management was totally fluff material and had no actual impact on your game at all until you finally unlocked Kingdom projects. Even at that point, it was so late into the game that any bonuses you got from it were practically minimal.
In other words, Kingdom Management was a pointless feature that was only added to the game because it was part of the adventure path the game was based on.
----------------
Crusade Management vastly improved on what Kingdom management failed to accomplish, but even that still had its issues. The most glaring problem is how poorly designed many of the unit types are.
For example, DRAGONS are damn near useless. The amount of damage they inflict is absolutely pathetic, and in the case of lightning dragons, their elemental abilities are useless against the demons because of their LIGHTNING IMMUNITY.
I just want a pure cRPG without this fluff. And even if the crusade management is a bit more tolerable than Kingmaker's kingdom management, it's still a poorly designed slog, like you pointed out. And that's exactly why owlcat shouldn't bother on the 3rd try.
