Best impact of God choice you have found?

I think ive mostly only ever seen dialogue choices. However, on my current Druid run (picked Gozreh as diety), a specific dialogue choice gives you a 3d12 cold dmg buff for melee attacks when you start lepers mile and the vescavor swarms.

Not especially impactful, but Cayden Cailean has a bunch of funny and very flavorful ones, including the Act 1 tavern defense and a certain questline in the Trickster path.

Atheist is immune to the charms of that one succubus inside the Grey Garrison. Your character goes like "You're Iomedae, huh... why should I care?". Priceless!

Cayden Cailean has a bunch of good stuff and fits really well with Trickster.

Urgathoa fits well with Lich and also has some good stuff.

If you are a Cleric, you immediately get Weapon Proficience in your god's favourite weapon.

That is it, nothing else.
Gods are only relevant for alignement, and Cleric Domains + extra Weapon Proficiency or +1 enhancement basis.

Sarenrae for me, and it's not even close. She gives you a monstrous buff that lasts for the entire map of Wintersun after you get it and Wintersun tends to pop up at an odd time exp-wise during a playthrough. It can end up being a real pain in the ass depending on when your character builds are meant to come online.

Not so under the glorious Dawnflower. Praise the sun and smite those barbarians. And the treants. And the Derakni.

I'll go for the obvious - why not?

Iomedae can give everyone in the group divine power (+6 luck bonuses on attacks / saves / etc.) for an hour at a fairly important part of the game. Fight against Darrazand in the Midnight Fane - useful for the fight (and playful darkness afterwords if you want), plus lasts long enough to make significant progress in Alushinyrra.

Plus everyone gets Aasimar wings for that hour - visually, at least. Don't know if it provides the Wings feat bonuses.

That's just it though. That is not true. Some gods give buffs at points in the story, strong ones.

that is demonstrably untrue as already explained by other posters.

Good deities were mentioned already, I will add two worthless ones:

Norgorber - he warns you about Nurah's plot at Leper's Smile, but if you listen to him, you won't be able to confront Nurah at the camp later (unless it was fixed in recent patches). And you will have a minor dialogue with Greybor. That's it.

Irori - I got just a couple of minor dialogues. Big disapointment.
