Add the ratfolk race for real!

I think they should get rid of race polls in any future kickstarter for a pathfinder game. Too much bad blood imo. People backed literally to play fox, rat, or cat and only one of the three got full satisfaction.

Kingmaker added in Tieflings, which weren't even on the previous voting poll, just because they seemed appropriate with Aasimar being in the game. The other two races which failed to win the vote (Dhampir and one of the elemental halfbreeds) finally made their appearance in WotR.

I'm not going to put it completely outside the realm of possibility that a new race may be added to WotR in the future. But there is a chance it may be a completely different race from what was featured on their kickstarter.

Yeah I very much felt the same way. It's not even a joke - they didn't even attach a joke to it, the entire "prank" in that particular note is just "haha, the thing some people backed for and never got isn't ACTUALLY being added! Psyche!"

That's not a joke, that's just tasteless

I enjoyed the rest of the notes, but Activision/Blizzard made the exact same mistake with some fake customization updates for undead players, I think it was that you can make an undead without your bones sticking out now, AKA looking more intact vs. being as rotted/deteriorated

And the whole joke was just "haha, this thing lots of people would genuinely love to have and would objectively be a good thing to add isn't REALLY being added, April Fools!"

april fools joke, and it wasent cool, hopefully it does become real, I know they added tiefling eventually as a dlc option.

I'm not saying the race poll was rigged but when it was up a lot of backers (myself included) had issues when trying to vote and could not even login to their website.

i don't like smol races for my main char usually.. but if they adding ratfolk in future updates, they'll be my first smol character.

It's not the first time they've done that. Blizzard / Activision has a history of introducing fake character options for World of Warcraft as part of April Fools pranks.

In the past, they did a joke about being able to play as Wisps, and had suicide bombing as one of their racial abilities.

In another, they joked about introducing two headed Ogres, which would be controlled by two different players at the same time, with one of the heads 'falling asleep' when its player logged off.

If they do not add Ratfolk melee companion and have Swarming racial ability, then it would be better if they do not. That is only interesting thing Ratfolk have, if it is not in then Ratfolk is meh.

Ratfolk and Catfolk should have been added. Kitsune was my least favorite option of the three. Honestly more race choices are just better. Hell, give me a "race pack" dlc which just adds in like, 10 new races or something. I'll buy it, just give me the option.
