Lich merged spellbook and level 10 spells
I saw in a patch that if you merge the lich spellbook you need to reach a total caster level of 28 to unlock the level 10 spells. How many spells per day do you get? Is there a significant difference between the spells per day at CL 28 and CL 30? Thanks in advance.

Interestingly, when I played as a cavalier angel mythic path, I received level 10 spells at mythic rank 10. There was no merged spellbook, since cavaliers do not cast spells, so I gained my level 10 spells at caster level 20. Not sure how it works with a merged spellbook, but as a non-caster I received 2 caster levels per mythic rank.

You don't HAVE to merge the spellbooks to get access to Level 10 spells, it just makes sense for the benefits.

Level 10 spells simply require CL 28 for you to be considered powerful enough to cast them, that's all.

Whether or not you can achieve CL 28 without merging as a fullcaster class is another story, never tried NOT merging, as I simply don't see any benefit at all to not doing it, due to the fact that through merging you can get CL 30 as a fullcaster for ALL your spells that scale with CL, not just the Level 10 ones.

As for spell slots, that also depends on your CHA score, or rather since Lich (stupidly) by default scales off INT, it'd depend on that.

My urgent advice is to install the MythicSpellbookTweaks mod, as that one allows you to do what the game SHOULD have offered as an automatic behind-the-scenes-feature, namely to change each Mythic Class' scaling attribute to match your regular class' main attribute.

That way, my Lich scales off CHA for my Sorcerer, not off INT, which would result in Wizards exclusively being the only viable choice for Lich Path, which is stupidly bad game design.

Currently on my level 20 sorcerer? 3... They don't really seem worth it to me.

It doesn't seem like CL 28 is required if you don't merge spellbooks. Again, I had level 10 spells as a mythic rank 10 angel and no other spellbook. My character was caster level 20.

Right, at MR 10 w/o merging you can use the spells, but without any of the bonuses to all the other spells you would have got from merging... so while it then still is possible to cast Level 10 spells, you'd still severely gimp yourself with all your other spells as a fullcaster.

In my case, I didn't see it as having gimped my character. I had not planned to play a spell caster in lieu of a beast of a melee character. Then as angel, I was pleasantly surprised (my first time playing the game) to add a nice handful of powerful spells, with some of the most amazing 24 hour full group buffs I could have hoped for. And, I was eventually able to cast several powerful blasting spells as a swift action. So it was nuke, ride in on my wolf, and attack 6 - 7 times in melee. Almost nothing could stand against for more than a round or two. It was rather breath taking, actually.

Welp yeah, that's why I said you'd gimp yourself when playing a *fullcaster*.
Which you didn't... you played a Hybrid Caster/Melee character, and obviously there merging doesn't really matter if you're happy with just the Mythic SB's spells.

If you merge spell books, the amount of spell slots you receive each day will be based on the class you merged with.

When you merge spell books, it combines your class level and your Mythic level together to determine the merged spell book's caster level. Meaning that a merged spell book Lich / Angel will unlock high level spells much faster than somebody who did not merge spell books.

For example, if you've got 12 levels in Wizard, and 3 levels in Lich, and you merge your spell books, your caster level will be considered 15, instead of 12.

Liches can merge with a pure arcane caster, which includes the Wizard, Sorcerer, Witch and Arcanist classes.

I personally would NOT recommend the Arcanist class, because the way their spell book works (spontaneous, prepared slots) will utterly nerf the Lich's spell book in terms of what you can cast each day.

There are also three Mythic feats which provide 4 additional spell slots to every spell level.

Abundant Casting = +4 slots to 1st-3rd level spells.

Improved Abundant Casting = +4 slots to 4th-6th level spells.

Greater Abundant Casting = +4 slots to 7th-9th level spells.

In the case of spontaneous casters like Sorcerers and Arcanists, the feat replaces additional spell slots, with an additional 4 times you can cast each spell level per day.
