My recollection is that gold dragons are generally regarded as stronger than red dragons. I found a fair amount of discussions on precisely this question in the D&D context through a search engine.

Honestly, I’d be happy with the Gold Dragon Path if the dragon form was not dispellable. That’s all I want. I’m NOT a human who polymorphs, I’m an actual dragon who can take human form.

I dont understand how this has not been patched.

Aren't dragons supposed to be immune to magic, too?

Or at least highly resistant to it?

Bluntly, outside of extenuating circumstance it comes down to which is older. Dragons gain a ton of bonus stats as they advance through age catagories, such that the older one will always win in a straight up fight. The younger must employ some kind of trickery to even stand a chance.

Between golds and reds, they're largely the same. Similar natural weapons, same breath, same immunities, similar AC and saves. The main point they differ in is the spell-like abilities they get, which in Gold's case are pulled from the Cleric spell list while Reds pull from the Wizard list. So, which are better: Clerics or Wizards?

There's some difference between the metallic (gold, silver, bronze) and chromatic (red, blue, green) dragons. Hell, I even remember discussing this in that, uh, tomb? It may be more lore than anything else. Aren't the metallics more often good, the chromatics more often evil?

Yet, bizarrely, Aivu your pet havoc dragon has a spellbook, yet the Mythic Path MC Gold Dragon has no Mythic spellbook of their own. I'd put that on my additional want list. It makes no sense this Path has no Mythic spellbook.

OK. Here we go.

When I changed from Angel to Gold Dragon, I lost access to all my super OP Angel powers in exchange for... a holy fire breath weapon, which didn't seem nearly as potent as my orbital death laser.
