Ember's Age

How old is Ember? I have a hard time justifying(any alignment) taking a child into battle not to mention a mental age.

I have seen some people here mention 100+ years, but I don't remember seeing that anywhere in game. I was assuming she's only 40-60 years old; based on the timeline from NPC's like Woljiff and Hulrun.

I don't get what her age changes to the fact that there are literal monsters - demons - trying to dismember her and that she wants to fight for her life and the one of any human.

I'm not sure if Pathfinder is different from D&D, but in D&D[forgottenrealms.fandom.com] Elves reach physical maturity at the same rate as humans, they're just considered children by other Elves until they reach 110.

she's old enough alright just as woljif said, has a few cards lose of a full deck.

there's no bad morale about having her in your party, and frankly shouldn't be either if you wanted to romance her.

I too had this dilemma until i got outta act 1 and saw that you can buy 2 items, red salamander, and pyromania. At which point i loaded her up, and start playing fortunate son every encounter i go into as she burns down more enemies then Napalm in nam.

Seriously, give her Pyromania + Red Salamander + the fallen knight belt. You become a walking ray gun of destruction. I mean because of the item combos freaking Scorching ray is your best spell until like level 15 i believe at which point it becomes hellfire ray.

Ever since then i realized screw it, come on the crusade and lets burn down some demons.

Everyone in the game refers to her as a child and people in the forums militantly insist she's both a child and mentally stunted (but only think it's an issue if people want to romance her - exposing her to extreme violence and depravity and using her to engage in it is apparently fine but w/e). This is why I will never recruit her again, same for Nenio. I'm not taking children, pacifists or people with no grip on reality as companions in a game where we are fighting super depraved, sadistic beings.

you know, considering she want to dialogue goodness the heck out of everyone, i think Hal should have some dialogue with her.

in the setting of the game, incest, rape, underage, interspecie, slavery are all comon.

wanting to romance a hundred + year old elf even if she's biased on being good, and a witch at it is just your average ok

She's about a century old, twenty years shy of becoming an adult... but because of what happened to her and being forlorn, she's psychologically damaged and might never recover from it. Not without help from other Elves.

What do you mean by underage, and in particular its relation to the things you are mentioning along side it.

For those wanting to romance her it does not matter what physical age she is the mental age, which is certainly child like, is the important factor.

In many countries this would be legally rape, and be considered having the game promote rape, it is simply not worth going down this avenue for the devs.

I appreciate it is only a computer game, but it feels wrong to even want this in the game as an option.

Can we stop bringing up romance in this topic? I have a hard enough time with the idea I am bringing a minor(mentally or otherwise) into a series of warzones. I just wanted to know what or if her age is explicitly stated somewhere. Please and thank you.

I killed ember in my most recent evil playthrough, left her dead in the streets
I think i read somewhere her grandma is one of the deities /shrug
