Currently the CharacterGenScreen is bugged in regards of classes which requires a bloodline selection.
A workaround can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1184370/discussions/0/3165461141531092594/
Sometime horse's leg don't move, and very strange place for horse to follow you in game start and cave so go on where horse should be in horse stables. I had to sabbtle up horse time to time when travel map, or got stuck when attacking enemies. or talk to some people
- 2H warrior first playthrough : unoptimized as hell =>
- rowdy/mutagenic for 4th playthrough trickster, very fun.
- i remember now that for aeon (2d playthrough) I lenghty hesitated and at the contrary of what i said, i decided to do a "master of spell", so "sage sorcerer" class i still open. That's for ... i don't know (see lower)
- priest (crusader i think it's called in english) for angel path, 3d playthrough.
I wanted to try a kinecist but i'm not very interested in the class and i need to find the right portrait for it: i'm the kind of guy who need a portrait to feel invested in a character and i have no adequate female portrait for kinecist at the moment since i don't very know how to play the class... do i need a "warrior" or "magician" type portrait, i don't know... i would like to try a kinecist to see before chosing, and i would not try the class before i have portrait...
I dislike the alchemists, find that for casters, sorcerer/sage sorcerer/elemental master are good, but i already used the elemental wizard as a NPC in 3d playthrough so not sure... maybe still because i had mutagenic NPC in almost every playthrough (except 1st where i only used official companions from game) and still want to try it. Arcanists is not very fun.
I do not like priests very much, but want to try some Oracle once.
I do not like the "archer" type characters.
Classes with pets are very not interesting for a main, when i see all the troubles i had with Seelah and looting/combat/ during my first playthrough. Never again. So only if all bugs related to mount are fixed.
I do find rogue very weak, except the rowdy, which is done for 4th.
I very much do not like monks.
Paladin is fine but if i play a main warrior, i'd just play a warrior or a crusader.
I tried magus swordsaint who felt good... didn't understand how to use it right and felt underwelmed by the spell part.
Barbarian, why not but i do not find much difference with warrior and for warrior i like mutagenic too much (comparing my mutagenic NPC to my first MC... my 2h warrior was a joke and my first playthrough, although on a bit lower difficulty than the 2,5 playthroughs later was more difficult by a great margin).
I dislike the "single class + special" like the barbarian who can cast spell (i don't remember the name, sanguine?)
i'm not into dipping or this, and do not very much like the "transformation in animal/dragon" classes' things.
And i do not find any "prestige" class interesting.
For mythic path, remains:
- lich => sorcerer or sage sorcerer since i remember now that the created one was during a hiatus on first playthrough (when Nocticula's appearance in act 4 was bugged during something like 24 hours). I postponed "evil" playthroughs because i found that all "evil" choices in dialogues were not very interesting and felt like i would not very much like choosing those.
- swarm => i'm still not sure what to do with it since i have understood that it wold finish in a "single character" playthrough; Although i find that roleplay-friendly i have troubles understanding the fun, and i'm not sure which class would be required since i see none who would be enough for me to play... maybe the kinecist?
- golden dragon > i'm not sure what would be good for it.
- devil > still not sure what it is meant for but maybe the other one between sorcerer or sage sorcerer.
- legend > i think i will go mutagenic warrior + barbarian combo for full melee or something VERY melee powerful (because it's easier to play on "real time with pause" which take still a lot of time less than turn-based mode). Besides I already have my portrait idea for that, one who is the most interesting i have in my roster of custom portraits. I'm very inspired by that portrait.
And i want to replay the Azata path because first was full of bugs and i'm not sure i had the intended experience. I think i would go full metagenic with my Azata.
And i want also to try "ascension" but i'm not sure if the path chosen before has any impact on it or not.
I have always wanted a magus -> duelist. Its a tough character to build because you will need DEX, INT, CON, and you can't dump STR since it takes a while to get DEX to damage. There is a really good tiefling portrait for duelist.
I dont want to redo trickster though.
