Can You Mount The Centipede?

So this is a question I've been wondering about since we learned about mounted combat in the game. Is it possible to ride your Giant Centipede into battle as a mount? It becomes a large sized creature at level 7 like most of the other companions, so it should be compatible, right?

Except, I'm having a hard time imagining what this would look like in model, unless you're playing a small race like a Gnome, or a Halfling.

I too pondered this and have no idea how they are actually going to do it. But... it would be hilarious if your character surfs the Centipede like a surfboard.

In Pathfinder tabletop, Mites have an animal empathy ability for vermin and use that to train them as riding animals. If Owlcat had had mounted combat in Kingmaker, I’ll bet we would’ve seen just that with the mites and centipedes under sycamore.

I’d like to think they’d make all companions rideable if they’re large enough, but with budget and time constraints it could just be limited to what’s most popular.

Yes you can with a small character, at least in the current beta.

The centipede grows to large by level 7 so even medium characters can ride it. The animation is kinda busted right now. The character riding kind of hangs on to it's face and gets dragged across the floor.
