Drow/Dark Elves

Are they gonna be playable in this or is there no hope for the dwellers of the underdark? :( Don't know how much different pathfinder is in that regard

According to Pathfinder's lore, a drow is an elf who as turned ultra evil - it's basically a mutation : if you're an elf and commit horrendous act after horrendous act, you might eventually turn into a drow.

Err.. this is something that can happen in addition to naturally born/occuring Drow. They definitely exist as born-that-way Drow, as well. Whole entire nations of them in the Golarion equivalent of the Underdark (Darklands, IIRC).

I can't 100% say "Nope", but as a Kitsune, you can shapeshift, which looks very... elvish?
If you go "Evil" enough (Turning Lich does it) then your "Elf" form ends up with black/grey Skin. Since Drow are the Elves that have gone Evil, it seems like you can be an Elf that goes Evil, and ends up as a Drow.

For me to want Ratfolk, I would need ratfolk melee companion for Swarming ability. I don't think Owlcat will implement Swarming ability, and will use alternative instead.

Funnily enough, the placeholder model for the Vescavor Swarms was a rat swarm during beta. It was a cloud of flying rats that kept doing loopdy loops in the air while attacking you.
