Saving the Courtesans...
How are you people doing this? I'm not even sure the related achievement is working, but I'm reading people are able to get this done and I'm struggling!

Turn based mode has all the demons acting before my party, so courtesans can die before I even act. Real time allows me to start sling Web and Grease and I get close, but courtesans actually engage demons in combat with their fists and die anyways.

Please share your tips and tricks with me! I'm on core difficulty, by the way.

Seems like one where you need to lower the difficulty tbh. I was able to protect all the buildings on Core for the tavern defense. But I gave up on these courtesans after an hour or so reloading hoping I would get lucky and they wouldn't be hit with Flaming Arc or running towards the demons.

Edit: I even prebuffed haste from a scroll and couldn't get there in time before one of them dies.

Edit2: The worst thing is they provoke AoOs.

Yeah, the fact that the Courtesans actually run *towards* the demons and try to punch them, thus provoking attacks of opportunity, is pretty wonky. I can admire a few brave souls trying to make a difference in their underoos, but they ALL turn around and try to fight the demons after a few seconds of running around in a panic.

Hell, even on normal these suicidal freaks (no pun intended) would just straight up die before I could get to em.

Best bet is probably to use Entangle to make the entire room difficult terrain. That will slow down their ability to get back into the fight. I thought I saved them all but didn't get the achievement (was making sure that only the nobles died, not the courtesans) so either I missed one or it's bugged currently. I had to actually turn of TBM because you can prevent the mage from casting by just having your archer constantly poking him.

Using Slumber hex with both Ember and Camilla is also pretty effective.

Firstly, Achievements bugged...
Secondly, the only way i found is to start the area in real time, interrupt the cambion sorc, grease the place, switch to turn based and hope the schir doesnt get an AO.
Took many attempts :stress:

Ya, I'm seeing a lot of reports that this is still bugged. Looking at the global achievements, no one has it, so I'm thinking that's still the case. Kinda makes this topic mute, but in that same thread that complained about not getting the achievement, there were obviously people who were able to get it done, which blew my mind considering how often I've reloaded.

Good tip about entangle... Should have taken that on my Divine Hunter when I leveled. lol

Maybe spamming web everywhere and grease to leave everyone in place is a decent strategy.

If someone will still have a problem 'dimension door mass' is my trick to teleport to enemy, then 'entangle', 'create pit' or any other your favourite control spell, so much easier start. Core difficulty

Try starting in Real Time then changing to Turn Based once Greases, Webs etc are in place.
I'm not going to give away my secret, it involved a FAIR amount of reloading.

They are fools acting as human shields. They are not worth saving.

:P

I've been more successful with saving all the musicians
