Can Finnean turn into exotic weapon types?
Like curved elven blade?

He can turn into any weapon your characters can wield.

In my game he has only 10-15 or so options, maybe it will change is his story progresses.

Maybe your character only has proficiency in simple weapons? I had a long list from the start...

He can change into anything a character is proficient at.

Select a character before selecting Finnean transformation and he will give you option to transform into any weapon that character is proficient with. Even exotic, yes.

Options change depending what character is selected based on their proficiencies.

Also, keep an eye on his upgrades throughout the game. At some point, he becomes a Radiant weapon, which does not affect Undead or Constructs.
