Can't get the arrow puzzle(s) either. All solutions posted on the internet don't work for me. Assuming they changed something at some point, or it's bugged. I have 1 symbol that's there 4 times, and the rest of the symbols are all there only once. No idea what it means, but yeah 4 arrows pointing at each repeating symbol just isn't possible.
Same
Would also like to know how you do the arrow and "no more than 3" puzzles legit :d20dice: I got them, but I don't feel like I "got" them. As in I don't understand why the right solution was correct.
They really do not give you enough information on these puzzles. I have pages of scratch paper and even a spreadsheet I used to figure it out. I was originally trying to point the arrows to add columns to match but that wasn't working. Then I settled on the number of arrows.

Once you figure out what the numbers are by studying the symbols and clues in the dungeon you need to point exactly the same number of arrows at each symbol, no more, no less.

I ran lines through each to solve it on paper first.

it seems arbitrary.
It did, yeah. Unless... with the 'no more than 3 in a line' puzzles, do diagonals count? There's more than one way to do it if you're just trying to avoid it in columns and rows, but if diagonals count as well... Is that it?

:steamthis::steamthis: That kind of makes sense? I take it these clues are not part of the puzzle itself. Is it just the big central circle? Are those 1 to 5? Also I feel like the top-down iso camera makes it a bit misleading, somehow. Like the arrows are so small and so aligned with the grid, it doesn't seem like they're actually meant to point across the board? If that even makes sense. Maybe I'm overthinking it. Cheers, thanks.
The clues for what the symbols represent are scattered around on the walls of the whole complex. You'll find a symbol and it will have text that should help you figure out the number associated with it. For example, there's one that talks about a marilith which has 6 arms.

There's no clue as to what to do with the arrows that I've found.
So many puzzles in this game don't give you enough information to solve them. Basically, they're trial and error.

I've LOVED puzzles in Rpgs since Lufia II. They're a great break from the action and let you engage differently but holy crap I've never been more frustrated at these. A lot of them have multiple ways they can be solved, but since it's not the *coded* solution you end up being wrong.

That whole area is a mess, really. Between each mind numbing puzzle there's a bazillion trash encounters and they want you to have freakin' Nenio with you the entire time (Illusionists make me angry). Like, guys, calm down. Stop making me headbutt ANOTHER series of time gobbling mobs while I'm trying to brute force these puzzles you want me to fail.

Protip here? Look them up. There's a few guides out there now (why didn't I wait?!) that have all the solutions.
Ah, like that. I had thought the descriptions for the symbols meant they were meant to go in some sort of order, but if they represent numbers and need a certain number of arrows to point to them, I might yet work it out. ... In my second playthrough. I gave up on the Enigma for the first round.
I literally spent about 4 hours on the first arrow puzzle because I kept going down the wrong paths.
And the red and green symbol puzzle, do they mean you can't have more than 3 in an entire row or column, or do they mean you can't have more than 3 one right after the other in a row or column (meaning that there could be 4 red, for example, as long as there was green in between them to split them up).
There is a written guide in russian (you only need screenshot anyway they present there) for all thr puzzles by one awesome lady.

I will add a link in a minute
