I had no idea!!! Thank you!
You think starting the first round of combat staggered is a problem?
Ember has the Blackened curse, which gives her a -4 penalty on ALL weapon attack rolls. This gets reduced to -2 after reaching 10th level, but still. A penalty for all weapon attacks, means she's essentially forced to rely entirely on spell casting to contribute to battle.
Of course he is. Channel Energy is based on your Charisma score, and he's a Charisma based caster. You can also take the Mythic feat that increases the potency of all healing spells / channels you do.
It's supposed to only be 1 round, as per the table top rules. It's the Powerless Prophecy curse.
"You are forewarned of danger but can’t act to prevent it. You gain uncanny dodge, as the rogue class feature. However, you can’t take any actions in a surprise round, including free actions, except for flash of insight (see Revelations below). In the absence of a surprise round, you are staggered for the entire first round of combat. At 5th level, you gain a +4 insight bonus on initiative checks. At 10th level, you gain improved uncanny dodge as the rogue ability, using your oracle level as your rogue level. At 15th level, you gain a +4 insight bonus on all your saving throws and to your AC during surprise rounds and when you are otherwise unaware of an attack."
That's from Nethys Library, which I believe is associated with and supported by Paizo.
Except Ember is better to use as a pure damage dealing mage. Instead of having to use her for healing when she could be in the backline flinging evocation spells.
I mean she could be used effectivly as the way you are using her i'm sure. It depends on your party composition i guess. But if you focus on making Ember a pure fire based evocation caster she can really melt enemies quickly. Aswell as using hexes for debuffs.
I don't like Nenio since she is more suited to be an illusion caster.
Yes its also the best curse in the game because it gives him uncanny dodge meaning he can NEVER be flanked and i think improved uncanny dodge later. its WORTH the 1 round of stagger...
